I absolutely love and use mobile banking 99.99% of the time for my financial needs, but I dearly miss quick balance!
Red Canoe is a Bank
I don’t mind having red canoe because the bank itself hasn’t done me any wrong since I first got them. They don’t charge you if you overdraft on your checking, they just pull out of your savings. I like that. Also: their latest update to the app made it super easy to transfer between member accounts. I am Mexican so my family is always sending and receiving money from each other, which was somewhat time consuming before but now it’s streamlined. I like that. Good app, good bank as far as I know. What more could you want?

Bad changes
The new version of online banking does not have a summary of all CD’s and it does not have the maturity dates of CD’s on the first page. No user would have requested these omissions. Beta testing should involve a real user.

This app is so slow/glitchy and nothing ever works Face ID constantly shuts off. It keeps having me verify my account through code except the save and continue button doesn’t want to click. Garbage app you would think a bank app would be better than this.
Settings need almost constant attention.
FaceID turns off several times a week, requiring me to reactivate it with a one-time code. This is EXTREMELY annoying. The one-time code also does not auto populate as it will on many other apps. Basic functions of the app work well, but the non-permanence of biometric information lowers my rating quite a bit.

Can’t access…
Unable to load app. Did all the troubleshooting and even called. 3 days and counting.

I haven’t been able to see my balance on my app for the last 3 days. It gets stuck and won’t go passed the loading screen so I can’t even see how much I have in my account when I need to pay bills. I’ve even tried deleting and reinstalling the app and even restarting my phone and nothing

Unreliable
I would hesitate to recommend this app. On a number of occasions the app will accept a deposit only to have them reverse the deposit days later because “the check is unreadable”. Don’t accept to begin with.
HORRIBLE Its 2022 banking apps arent rocket science..
This app is terrible, never saves or registers me despite registering my device multiple times.. Figure it out red canoe and hire a better app developer, this is garbage and its 2022. Mobile banking is a necessity and its not rocket science to have a good consistent app, plenty other credit unions do.

Will not register my device
The app will not save my information so that I can use Face ID. It won’t even save just my username either, I’ve contacted the IT department as well and nothing changed. The app is fine if I can get it to work but I give up and use my computer the majority of the time, which defeats the purpose of having the app. I’ve updated everything and still no luck.
