Could be better
App needs an overhaul it’s kind of outdated and also needs the ability to add tickets to apple wallet for quick and easy use.
Kicks me off the page
It’s been five years of me using this app and it still has the same problem. If you’re making a booking as a guest and switch to another app — even just for a second to check a map or look something up — the Red Funnel app completely resets and you lose everything. You have to start over from scratch.
This is incredibly frustrating and makes the app feel outdated and user-unfriendly. Please fix this basic functionality — it’s long overdue.

Some tweaks needed
The 'your next journey' section doesn't show anything on the day of sailing, only the day before. This needs to be fixed please. Also the app logs you out too quickly, by the time you need to have you ticket scanned the app times out.

Overall app ok for checking times and booking tickets, but could be hugely improved.
Just about every other transport app allows you to add e-tickets to Apple wallet. Not this one. To make matters worse, the app times out quickly
when you have the e-ticket on screen. Infuriating for the ticket checker and customer because the queue gets delayed whilst you reactivate / re-login.
The app leads you to believe that foot passenger tickets are tied to specific times. Generally they are not.
With just a little more effort this app could be transformed from mediocre to really quite good.

Fundamentally Useless While Travelling
The app, when it does load, will randomly flash up ‘session expired’ box and push you back to the login page. I’ve tried logging and using as guest and it’s both the same.
When it does this, if you have no or poor connectivity, you can’t get back to the ferry times, which may have been the page you were in prior to the session expiring.
