Started strong
I loved this game for a couple of years and felt it was a good combo of having fun and learning about decor. I did the upgraded/monthly pay option for a little over two years. But as someone who loves working with decor, the game took a sharp turn toward excessive clothing design and that’s not my interest. I also found it more and more difficult to advance without laying out additional funds and I felt that the monthly fee should be enough. There’s also a lot of busywork now with card collecting. Some of the changes were good though, like faster turnaround on voting. I think it’s still a fun game but I left because I want something more focused on decor and less on other side games and interests.

I have very much enjoyed this game, but as every month goes on and every theme is revealed, the use of AI just gets worse. Lost my respect for the game.
Bad designs win over excellent ones
It’s getting absolutely ridiculous! I’m fighting a loosing battle. They’ve made it so difficult to get enough coins to play and one of the reasons is non cohesive designs winning. Some look like a three year is playing. This game involves using real money to get ahead. Why am I spending all this money to create a good design to lose to one that doesn’t even make sense. I’ve been playing for 5 years now. Back in the beginning we had to work hard to learn how to create beautiful designs to win. Now it’s a free for all. Instead of realistic or gorgeous out of the box designs winning the one that wins has gaudy bright green furniture and nothing is cohesive! I’m tired of this. This game could be #1 if they weren’t so greedy. Prices of inventory continue to rise. Our rewards are getting smaller. Nothing is fair. They say they have real time voting but I’ve read too many articles about Redecor using AI in so call voting. How can it be real time voting within only 10 minutes. It used to be hours. Yes I want to just quit but I have so much invested in this game it’s heartbreaking to even consider. If they don’t change and start rewarding us veterans dedicated to this game who create cohesive gorgeous designs then one day another company will create a better Home Design app and when that happens I’m gone! I’m tired of the casino type games they have too.

Not worth it anymore
I used to LOVE this game/app but the challenges have gotten pretty wack. Some challenges aren’t even of homes. Also too many ads and the prices of things don’t make sense. It used to be easy to rack up points now they want to you buy everything.
Very frustrating due to having to buy expensive coins to buy matching colour items to win.
Love this game but to win on each scenario you have to buy expensive coins to buy items that match your chosen colour schemes. Very expensive more than buying real items in the real world. Available furnishings generally do not compliment your chosen colour scheme. I suspect winning scenarios to be computer generated to encourage buying more coins to enable you to win. Many scenes ranked higher often are not matching and ugly, why? Eg I have chosen beautiful accessories and finishes to be then ranked 6 or 7 when the first is just yuk.

I’ve tried a lot of decorating games and in my opinion this is the best.

Such a cool app! When I first got it I automatically fell in love with it, and now I am obsessed! Absolutely satisfied with the quality and overall functionality of the game, very modern and up to date on current trends in interior design. My only complaint thus far has been with the “pricing” of certain items that are available. Tokens are rare and barely get you very far with materials that you may want.

I gave a 5 star for the fact of how this redecor is. Your company is amazing. However these people all have their favorite players so there is never a chance for use to win!!! I hate this game because of how much they cheat!!! They don’t follow rules of what the colors are supposed to be, just makes me sick!!’

Fun… except….
The game itself and the way it’s designed is awesome. The players on the other hand dictate how far you get. They have zero imagination and if it’s not beige and white you can’t win anything. They don’t follow the description of what you’re supposed to do so it gets old fast because you can’t use color without losing every attempt. Wish there was ways to enforce the “rules “

I’ve saved quite a few designs for inspiration, and it has helped me choose color combinations, furniture styles, and different decorating ideas for my own home. Whenever I have anxiety I play this app and can immediately calm down. It’s not endless scrolling. It’s low stakes creativity. So fun.

It’s a fun app, but honestly, it’s a bit like having a teenager — it’s constantly asking you for money! There are so many opportunities to pay for extras that it can get frustrating.
I also wish there was an option to use the app without the competition/voting aspect. Not everyone enjoys having their experience tied to competing against or being judged by other people. It’s also heavily weighted towards those who enjoy grey/appeal to the masses design.
I also wouldn’t recommend it for people with ADHD, particularly those who experience RSD (Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria), as the voting/competition component could easily trigger those feelings and take away from the enjoyment of the app.
Overall, it’s enjoyable, but I’d love to see a much less competitive, less pay-to-play option.

Not cool
This is a good game, but it has changed a lot. I actually been playing this game for like I wanna say 5 years now maybe more but some of the updates they did I don’t like for example if you don’t make the quota, you can’t keep your status so you get bumped down again which I don’t think is fair and if you wanna win, you do gotta spend money which is fine I get that, but unfortunately, this is one of those apps that turned into a money money money if you wanna keep your status, you have to pay 5$. If you wanna get the rare items that they do monthly you have to pay $7 what it used to be 3$ to get the rare items and now it’s 5$ everything‘s pricing up and I get people have to make their money but this app has to understand not everybody has the means to keep up with the purchasing, but I do like the game so I will continue to play. Guess when I can’t afford it it is what it is and I’ll have to take a break like I have before. it’s supposed to be chilling and relaxing, not stressful and it gets stressful cause I can’t keep up with the depends to keep my status I have to take a break
