Meh

A little boring

Great Story

This game is really, I mean really, enjoyable. The story is really well plotted and set up, the puzzles have fun and intriguing solutions, and the voice acting is *chef’s kiss*.

I was surprised when they asked for money to compete to the adventure, but for a story this captivating, $1 is a paltry price tag. If you require more visually stimulating gameplay, this is probably not for you, tho art in game is gorgeous.

I do suggest approaching it more like an audiobook than anything else, but it is required that you use your brain as some puzzles are harder than others.

The Gilligan’s Isle reference caught me off guard, and I was laughing so hard; it’s a shame the voice actor isn’t in on the joke. And, the badger giving you your achievements is fun, but you never get to look at your achievements or see how many there are.

All in all, a worthy redwall adventure!

A must have!

Love this game, love the art. My kids love playing and they live the Redwall street. This is a great app!

I bought the full game and I got nothing

*Update* Turns out I’m an idiot. I just clicked ‘restore purchases’ and bam, got the full game. Changed my review.

Money back now.

Seems true in narrative, but low quality.

I was desperate to like this game. I grew up with red wall and read at least 20 of the 22 books. I love gaming in general, and text based games are very under appreciated, so I was incredibly exited for this.

Right out of the gate, the audio quality is HORRIBLE. I’m not talking recorded with meh mic. I mean it sounds like it was recorded in a tin can, a recording was made of THAT recording, and then compressed to heck.

Ok fine, I’ll just turn the audio off. On to the story.

Little bit a saw did seem pretty “Brian Jacques-esque” but the narrative being third instead of first for this type of game is odd.

Five minutes later I’m stuck. I’m in the entrance of this cave, I’ve found a torch that I can’t light, there one tunnel entrance that hasn’t collapsed, and the game won’t let me enter it. I try to tell it too, and just get it reiterated to me where I am.

I tried to rephrase it and be more specific with something to the effect of, walk into the tunnel that hasn’t collapsed....

The game doesn’t have the word “hasn’t” in its vocabulary.

What.

If you are going to limit and can it that way, at LEAST make this a multiple choice text game instead of a typing one.

Even if I did manage to find a walkthrough at this point, it shouldn’t be necessary for the first five minutes of a player that is familiar with this game style. That’s just bad design.

So disappointed, redwall deserves better.
