Historical reports

Doesn’t let me save a filter on the historical reports !!!

Doubled output

Redzone has been incredible for our facility

Horrible

Horrible and way behind in time for tracking downtime.

It was the worst of times

Expensive to deploy, time consuming to maintain, just so you can never launch the app because it takes a frustratingly long time to derive usable information from it. The TV will show random information cycling through various screens that you can’t make heads or tails of. They promise “you will know instantly if a line is running” but you can’t tell at all.

You put the ability of the operator to tag people, but they always tag the wrong people who can actually fix the issue because there is no title look up. Want to message a controls engineer but don’t know their name? Just message the entire company, they will see it.

Does what it needs to do

Redzone does good at my workplace to predict how long production will take, log problems that arise, and keep communication. Overall I’d say it’s very solid- and I like how you can toggle between the new look and Legacy.

My one wish is that for Forms and other Chats, if I silence notifications then I don’t get pinged. Some chats have something going in it every minute or so, and I hate being notified when they do only because there’s other forms I’m waiting for updates in. I’d hope down the line it’s possible to turn off pings and notifications from forms completely.

Notifications

You should be able to set a time for your notifications to start and when they should shut off for each day

Unsecure passwords for redzone

*warning* about redzone!!
This app needs 2 part authentication for passwords. The passwords are NOT secure at all! So if you install this app on your private phone whomever knows your user name and password can turn your camera and microphone on without your knowledge, and spy on your microphone!!!

It freezes

work in quality and this app froze while I was doing a crucial check on moisture. I need to take a photo verification which I did but then it froze on me. It has been very lagging lately. Anyway, I now have to retest product with a new picture or face consequences for not doing my job even though I saved the photo. Thank you Redzone for making me do my job twice. This could honestly get someone into a lot of trouble if certain quality checks were missed because of your faulty app.

Best I have ever seen

I love the focus of people that Redzone has! I have seen he largest systems of this type and none can compare.

Functionality is off the charts. OEE, Labor efficiency, compliance data checks, production checks, clean inspect lube (TPM) for operators, PMs for maintenance with a reliability focused CMMs, a learning module LMS, SPC real-time.

The chats and forums are helping the people on the floor get more In tune with the profitability of the company!

When an operator chats to a supervisor “can you take someone off my line so I can make my unit per man hour target” it is a new world!

Not Nearly User Friendly Enough

This app is over complicated. It typically takes 3 selections to get to where you want to be. The Home Screen is not intuitive, and includes pages that do not get used by the majority of staff for the majority of the day. The push to be competitive and compare areas to each other whether they’re “winning” or “losing” is also not helpful for a facility that has been struggling with getting everyone, no matter their area, to work as a team.

Graphs and charts are great, but if someone wants a clear picture of all the problems for the line then they must select into each and every area, which takes 2 selections just to get into, and then maybe they can get an idea. Having an overall “these were problems today on this line” would be nice. As well as a timeline format additional to the grouped occurrences format. Seeing that there was a problem 9 times that amounted to 48 minutes is great, but it doesn’t provide a clear picture of how the day ran. A timeline would do that. Having an easy way to look at the history as well would be useful. To be able to look at how the week went, or go back to a day that specific product was ran and the problems that we had could be very beneficial.

Chats might be one of the worst things of this app. For facilities that have a messaging system in place, it is ridiculous that RedZone would push theirs instead. It is difficult to find what you’re looking for, the chat titles are so small, there isn’t a “pin chat” feature, you cannot attach more than 1 photo, uploading a photo instead of taking it through the app on iPad has been crashing it, uploading a photo on iPhone has ended up with big ugly white margins on the top and bottom as if it were a screenshot, messages do not update nearly fast enough to where you’re wondering if your chat sent or why you can’t see a message you got a notification for, notifications for messages are not reliable which will lead to people being unaware they’ve been getting messages.

Streamline the app, update the chat, provide easier user experience, and put more options in the settings. Formatting messages, font size, home screen page options, graph options and so on.

Great app but

It would be nice to be able to change the notification sounds and not just use the default iPhone/iPad sound

FINALLY a solution for essential workers in food and CPG

I’ve worked my entire career in manufacturing and every system was difficult to use for frontline employees. Redzone has actually changed our culture. Now everyone likes coming to the factory because they know if they’re winning or losing and they have a voice.
