Not like an SLR

The integration to the TELESIN does not keep up with iOS versions

Great Phone Grip

Would you give 5 but can’t find where to purchase filters for IPhone 17 pro max other than that love the app as well.

Response from developer

Hi I've send you the link of our filter. Thanks a lot for comment!

Zoom needs to be fixed

Past 3.9x zoom the focus drops and there seems to be no work around other than zooming back out .

Response from developer

Hello! This is because you are too close to your subject. Once you zoom past 4.0x, the iPhone automatically switches to the telephoto lens, which has a minimum focus distance of approximately 70cm. If the distance is less than this, it will be unable to lock focus. This is a physical limitation of the iPhone's hardware, rather than an issue with our app. You can either move further away to use the telephoto lens, or update our app to version 2.0.0, which allows you to continue using the main camera for shots at 3.9x zoom and beyond

Very invasive to privacy

I ran the privacy policy of this app in Chat gpt. Here’s what it said:

I’d be concerned about several things in this agreement for a phone grip accessory. The terms seem extraordinarily broad and invasive for such a simple product:
Major Red Flags
Excessive data collection - For a phone grip, they’re requiring:
∙ Mobile phone number and device identification code
∙ Names and addresses
∙ Personal information that “can identify users’ identities”
This is far beyond what’s needed for a physical accessory.
Unilateral power to change terms - They can update the agreement “at any time” without notice, and continued use means automatic acceptance. You could agree to one thing today and something entirely different tomorrow.
Broad content monitoring and account bans - Sections II and III discuss user-generated content, account bans, and content moderation. Why does a phone grip need this level of control over user accounts and content?
Vague enforcement - They can ban your device, account, or functions based on their “reasonable judgment” of violations, with no clear standards.
Chinese jurisdiction - Disputes must be resolved in Chinese courts under PRC law (Section V.2), which may be difficult and expensive for you.
Incomplete final clause - Section V.4 ominously states “We reserve the ultimate right of…” and then cuts off. This is either sloppy drafting or intentionally vague.
Bottom Line
This reads like an agreement for a social media app or messaging service, not a phone grip. I’d be very wary of:
∙ What data they’re actually collecting and why
∙ Whether there’s an accompanying app that’s doing the heavy lifting
∙ How they might use or share your personal information
Unless there’s a companion app with legitimate reasons for this level of access, I’d look for an alternative product with more reasonable terms.

Seems like this app is the real slim shady. I’m returning the phone grip. Too bad the quality seems very nice but useless without the app. NEXT!

Response from developer

1. The app does not collect your name. We encourage you to read the actual privacy policy for accuracy rather than relying on an AI's interpretation. 2. Registration (Email/Phone) is industry standard like any other apps that include login function. Furthermore, since our login system isn't even live yet, no such data is being collected at this time. 3. Address data is strictly for the photo info and watermark feature. It is entirely "opt-in," meaning it remains inaccessible unless you manually enable it in the "more settings". 4. We take privacy seriously and only collect essential info with explicit consent. We respect your concerns, but accusing us of being "Slim Shady" based on an AI hallucination is unfounded and misleading.

iPhone 17 pro max issues

Your app shows the following lens selection:
.5x 1.0x. 4x
What happened to 8x??

Seems like a great idea

unfortunately i can’t use the app when connected to network at all because it keeps asking me to update the app, my app is updated and the app store shows no updates but the pop up will not allow me to use the app unless i turn off my network connection. unfortunately, that means im unable to update the master grip firmware.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. The issue has been resolved and the app can now be updated normally.
