App is fun. Developer is unresponsive.
I recently downloaded all of this developer’s “-ko” games after trying Linko and liking it. ReflecKo is definitely my favorite. It’s a type of game I enjoy a lot and haven’t found many good implementations of.
Unfortunately, the game has a fatal error: attempting to move from level 384 to level 385 locks the game up completely with an empty screen. Force quitting and relaunching brings you back to level 384, and if you try to move forward, it again locks up. Restarting the device doesn’t help. You can’t skip levels you haven’t solved, so I can’t play anymore until they fix this.
The problem is that the developer is 100% unresponsive to feedback and support requests. I have used both the in-app feedback and the support link here in the App Store to report numerous minor issues (pretty much all their games have some kind of minor issue, but this is the only one so far that has made the game unplayable). I have never received any response of any kind. I sent a new support request for this particular problem and very specifically asked that they at least acknowledge that they received and read my message. They have not, though it has been several days now.
This, of course, means that a) no one is receiving these messages, b) no one is reading these messages, and/or c) they don’t believe in acknowledging receipt of feedback. All of which are completely unacceptable behavior for any developer. For this reason, I’m giving this game one star, in the hopes that this might finally get their attention. Until and unless they demonstrate that they actually care about users’ complaints, I do not recommend downloading or using any of their apps. Developers who are not responsive to user feedback do not deserve to have their work distributed.
Update Sep 2024: Despite the app having received four “bug fix” updates since I initially posted this review, the level 385 issue remains unfixed, and the developer remains unresponsive. This is ridiculous behavior for a developer.
