Used to be the best… Sorely Needs Update

This used to be the best SSH iOS client, with all the needed features. However, it’s been over 4 years since the last update and due to default host key algorithm changes on SSH servers, this app cannot connect anymore to any given SSH servers. Really needs an update, and after 4 years there are likely other security patches that this client needs.

If they update this, it would deserve 5 stars again. As-is, this app is unable to connect anymore and could be a security risk to use.

Can’t connect to the newer Linux and Mac OS

I’m getting “Encryption Key Exchange with Host Failed” error.

This app was last updated three years ago. Since then there were numerous updates to ssh to strengthen the key exchange encryption and to fix various CVEs.

If the developer is not willing to maintain this app in order to keep up, they should remove it from the App Store.

This used used to be a good app. Sadly, it fell so far behind into disrepair and turned into complete garbage that’s not worthy to be in the App Store.

Used to work

Used to work well, but not any more. Fails on handshake with newer ssh servers. I guess it’s been abandoned by the developer.

Not being kept up to date

I’ve used this app for years. Sadly Micro Focus / Opentext haven’t updated it since 2020. It’s now impossible to connect to some servers without reenabling encryption ciphers OpenSSH deemed unsafe and removed from the default config.

In serious need of an update

I can no longer use this for ssh connections due to the lack of support for new ssh key encryption methods.

No longer developed?

This was a pretty decent way to just dive in quickly to my homelab, I even thought seriously about paying for the extra features. Unfortunately now it doesn't seem to support modern SSH cyphers etc, so all I get is "encryption key failure" messages when trying to access mynservers, and the version history seems to suggest that a fix will be a long time coming, if at all. So I'm looking for a replacement (Shelly seems to work for me). Disappointing.

Lack of updates!

Also SSH2 don't connect to newer servers.

Once awesome, now useless. Please update

No longer compatible with industry standard SSH security and is unusable. Please update with modern security ciphers.

Was good, no longer works

Cannot connect to any hosts that were working fine before… just get encryption errors. Shame. Now I need to find a new SSH client.

Abandonware

No longer interoperates with current versions of OpenSSH’s sshd. You’d have to enable key types on the server side etc. that are no longer considered secure.

iOS 15 issues

A great app, been using it for years.

Seems as though there’s an issue with iOS 15 where it keeps deleting my ssh keys. Please fix.

Fails on iOS 14.2

Nothing happens! Solution: delete app and download again.

Unusable

Yes white text on white background, likely related to ipadOS 13 dark mode. No app updates in 11 months...

Broken currently

IP and Port is white text on a white background. Currently unusable. Probably to do with dark mode but the app should support this.

Problem with colors

Used it on my iPad and it works very well but I just installed on my iPhone and there seems to be a problem with colors in the settings : adress in white on white and many options are the same or black on black : impossible to read

It used to be good but horrible now

This app used to be good. Now it’s really buggy,l and unusable, not supporting dark mode and now freezing any time I try to connect.

Impossible to use in Dark Mode

I’m not interested in navigating to my settings screen both before and after I use an app. Looking to try Prompt 2 instead.

Frustrating at times, decent as free app, not paying $10

You can’t always tell from the App Store ratings, but before I invested the $10 here I decided to try a $15 alternative. I am glad I did. I am very happy to have switched from this to that, Prompt 2, although I have yet to explore much of Prompt 2 beyond basic access. But already I find everything that I didn’t like about Reflection is improved in Prompt 2.

Moving in and removing this from my iPad now.

Crashes immediately on iPad Pro

This works well on my iPhone X, but on the new 12.9” iPad Pro it crashes immediately. The whole point of using the same app on multiple devices is to sync configuration, but now I have to find a new SSH, VNC client.

Please update this app!

Crashes on startup on iOS 12 and latest iPad Pro

Tried deleting and reinstalling and it didn’t help.
