This app is riddled with AI:
- Artwork, voices, design, UI elements, etc.
I understand (or think) the developer is a sole person, however, this is not “real”. I know it takes time to make applications, even with the help and major lift being accomplished by AI, but the developer needs to seriously think about the implications of faith forming and strengthening being delivered by almost entirely by AI.
Don’t get me wrong, the app looks great but oh my goodness AI is everywhere.
I want to escape AI, not be evangelized or faith formed by it.
Did the encyclical not mean anything?

There is no AI generated formation content in the app. There are book covers that previously were plain text on plain backgrounds which are now AI generated art. Again, no text content in the app is generated by AI. There is no AI chatbot. There are books written by intellectual giants in the Catholic tradition, there are traditional prayers like the rosary, and there is scripture. That is all. I hope you will reconsider your review. Consistently using this prayer app
I’ve been consistently using this prayer app for over a month now. I like the novena reminders- I actually remember to pray them the whole nine days! The beauty of the Douay-Rheims translation has been striking, even while it takes some getting used to. And the spiritual reading options! New books are added frequently and I enjoy getting to taste classics I may not be able to buy. Great job, Adrian!

So extremely cool! The app looks great, feels easy to use and I have to say, the rosary feature is particularly awesome to me. My main problem with prayers on other popular apps, is that I have to listen to someone else say them and follow along. The rosary feature on Refugia allows me to even say a rosary myself when I don’t have my rosary with me. I also love that prayers can be transcribed in Latin, as that is my husband’s preference. Additionally, the Douay-Rheims version of the Bible in the app and the Catechism of the Council of Trent, make this app worth downloading on its own. I’ll be recommending this to anyone who will listen!

I just downloaded this wonderful app after watching Adrian’s YouTube video and it’s awesome ! I love it it has everything you need in one app and also it’s very affordable compared to other similar apps I’ve tried in the past .
