Probably needs an update
This app has been useful, but recently I can’t exit from a custom RegEx back to the main menu. I’m guessing the app needs to be updated. Otherwise I’d give this a much higher star rating.

When there are Chinese characters in the regular expression, they will not be displayed.
Tool for what?
Developer should integrate this into shortcuts where it will actually be useful for different types of extractions and maybe a different more up to date UI
Works for basic regexes and that’s it
It’s nice for simple regexes. Unfortunately, I wanted to use a conditional substitution, but the syntax for that varies by engine and the app doesn’t specify what uses. Would be 5 stars otherwise.
Unusable in Dark Mode
As mentioned in another review nearly a year ago, this app does not work in dark mode. Black on black text is completely unreadable.
Bug when renaming a new RegEx
You fixed the last bug I mentioned and I really like this app layout.
Found two new bugs. One is related to dark theme on iPhone. I can’t see text types in on first type. It is all black on black. It fixes itself after a bit of fiddling.
Second is more important. Creating a new RegEx that takes the untitled name then backing out, rand naming it to String.prototype.string and then it reverted to text from a previous entry. When opened it showed different regex than the overview page. It did this a few times until it auto corrected itself. I have screenshots. I can’t reproduce this.
These bugs seem to be related to how the app saves on load or on exit?

Needs a Dark Mode update
Excellent tool for fine tuning regular expressions with clear visual feedback.
The custom keyboard keys are equally clever, but turn invisible in Dark Mode. Fortunately it's usable without them.

Crashes on run.
Entered one regex and app crashed. Now the app crashes every time I run it.

I have been using this for years and it has been so helpful and easy that I just took it for granted and never wrote a review. A great way to test and store regex.

Crashes regularly
Lately this app crashes in the middle of use, regardless of text or RegEx patttern.

Not much good if it doesn’t open. Crashing on start up on a iPhone 8 Plus.

It crashes very frequently. One time, it always kept on crashing whenever I selected a specific regex.
Needs an update
I like a lot of what this app is going, especially things like group highlighting. Unfortunately, on my iPhone X running iOS 11.4, the regex field is hidden by the header, which makes it pretty much impossible to use.

Great Tool
As the saying goes "does what it says on the tin". I code for work and manipulate vast amounts of information, this tool is fantastic for quickly testing expressions against a data set which is easily manipulated. Has saved me untold time trying to sort out the correct expression.
Crash, crash after crash
You know there is something wrong with the app if some expressions make it go down time after time.
Wish it had undo, wish it didnt crash.
I was working on a complex expression when the app crashed. Now I cannot open the saved expression because it will crash the app.
