Doesn’t work

Still seeing everything this app claims it will disable. Will be requesting a refund

Please update for iOS 18

Crashes safari in iOS 18

Pas parfait

N’a marche pas sur tout les sites pour le blocage des liens AMP, mais améliore considérablement le concept de navigation 👍

Doesn't work

Enabled it in Safari and allowed for all websites. Doesn't remove anything.

Halfway works

Tried this today on Reddit. It does hide the “Use app” button, but only visually. If you tap the area it’s at, you still go to the app store. I downloaded this app mostly to avoid those annoying redirects from accidentally tapping that button.

It also introduces a new bug with Reddit that prevents scrolling from working until you tap something on the page. Basically it removed a visual annoyance, but didn’t improve usage in my case. Actually made it a bit more annoying, sadly.

Does not work

Reddit still asks you to open app, and has many bottom and top pop ups. Reddit also reloads and breaks the site automatically. The solution is to request desktop site view, multiple times, and you get a very broken, unformatted site
* Update: 1 Year later, still has never worked. Essentially useless

Response from developer

Could I convince you try out the newer versions? There’s been quite a few updates, specially after Reddit’s API shenanigans.

App doesn’t work.

Opening the app asks you to enable it in settings, after doing it nothing happens and it doesn’t work.

Hit or Miss…

Ad-blocking is a constant cat and mouse game where Developers need to make changes frequently. Rekt is a paid app, and you’re at the mercy of the Dev to constantly update it. However, I’ve found that the most stubborn sites break Rekt. Twitter and Reddit are an example. There should be an easier way to contact support directly.

Too much issue

Page hangs, scrolling doesn’t work. Had to uninstall.

Works well

Does what it says on the tin. All the earlier problems seem to have been fixed.

Not working on instagram website

I still get a banner at the top to “open in instagram app” as well as a banner at the bottom that says “Use the app”

It also doesn’t seem to work if I Add To Home Screen for instagram. Still has the “Use The App” banner for PWA (progressive web app)

Dev fixed all my prior issues

UPDATE: The developer reached out and said he was aware of the new issues with Reddit and I can verify the new update works perfectly again!

Response from developer

Hey there! The NSFW issue has now been fixed. The app was stuck in review for a bit causing the delay. Please let me know if you’re facing any other issue!

The app is amazing

I’m loving not having to deal with Reddit nonsense. Thanks!

Obs. If you can somehow find a way to hide the “similar posts” and auto expand “view more comments” you would be a hero among men.

Response from developer

Will take a look. Thank you for the review!

Worth Every Penny to Nuke the Google Widget Banner!

I detest the Google widget banner on the bottom of every search page. I’ve tried other “fixes” and blockers without success. This works. I’ll say it again:

THIS WORKS! All the other stuff it does is a sweet, sweet bonus. Great app and thank you!!

Great Concept - Plz Add support for Google Sheets

Hi Dev,

Amazing initiative and concept for the app. 👍 😃
However, it doesn’t support Google sheets, Google docs and Google Drive on the web.

These open App banners are really annoying - As they take useful real estate on Smaller 11 inch iPad Pros.

Please add support for these.
Thanks a lot
Keep up the great work

This is awesome!

Thanks for this app, it makes my life so much easier. Get it, and thank me later!

Sometimes freezes up safari

Blocks the open app banner but I have noticed that occasionally it will prevent you from scrolling or clicking any links. I have found a work around by opening and closing the drop down menu in the top right.

Response from developer

Reddit, unfortunately, does not let you view subreddits if you’re not logged in. It simply shows a dummy background so there’s nothing Rekt can do here to unblock it, sorry.
