Good options but needs to be updated
I’ve had this app for a few years and it has some good options for white noise. Unfortunately, the app is has not been updated for the most recent iOS iteration and is no longer functional.
App no longer works
The app stopped working since the IOS 14.2 software update. Please update this app. Thanks.
Plays on its own
Horrible app that plays on its own without clicking on the icon. Just randomly starts playing during meetings even after force closing

Not a bad little app. Number of sounds is limited, and the sleep timer sometimes doesn’t work.

Could be greater
I love the rain, as a former soldier, I spent most of the time in Iraq. Iraq is a dry dry but extremely place, rain is once a year for 3 minutes at most. I did not appreciate rain before my deployments. I love the sound, the smell and the mood it places you just listening to the falling water. This app puts me in such great place when I’m falling asleep with it on. I sleep better, wake up in a better mood. I think it needs more options in sounds and more free options on the other apps. I get it, y’all are trying to get money for what you make and your time blah blah blah. But do you expect people to pay money for literally “noise”? Eh... I don’t pay for apps in general and well “noise” apps is not on my top list if I ever do buy an app.

Best background rain sounds
I Love the sound of this rain app. It’s great to surf the web and have this on in the background. However, it always shuts off at some point when hitting certain web pages or running certain apps. Please fix so that it runs consistently. This is the best rain!

Annoying App
Constantly self starts during the day, even after force closing it. Only way to get it to stop is to reboot the phone. Deleting and never again using because I no longer trust an app that starts on its own randomly.
This is not relaxing!
I totally thought this would be a soothing sound. I’m from the Pacific Northwest and I love the rain!
For some reason this is like heavy heavy rain on a tin roof. All the options are anxiety inducing.
If you’re looking for a nice nighttime sound, you will not find it in this app :/

Different people find different sounds relaxing so we're trying to accommodate people with different tastes. If you have any ideas for what types of sounds would be relaxing for you please let us know!
Nice set of rain sounds but they are missing an important one.

the rain sounds are "ok". 5 of the 8 choices sound exactly alike except for the volume level. Not great but ok. Just do not expect as much choice as it advertises you will get.

The Best Rain App. Ever.
I use this app every day. It is the easiest one to use that I've found so far and it is incredibly relaxing. If you want to sleep restfully than get and use this app.
It does help with attention.
If you're like me and have ADD this app will help a little with focusing. Though I really don't know why.

Pretty Decent Rain App!
I LOVE listening to rain, I find it very relaxing, so this app is very useful when I want to take a few minutes for myself to wind down.

This is a perfect, simple, straight to the point app. It's clean, easy to use, and does exactly what it promises flawlessly.
You have several rain sound effects to choose from, swipe to preview and pick the one you like and the app gives you the option to set a timer, and allows you to continue to listen with the app in the background so you can do other things on your device at the same time! It also allows you to continue listening with your screen locked!!

Works for me perfectly
The app is simple and intuitive. I found no issues with switching apps and hearing the sound stop as reported by other folks. And I was able to hear everything when the screen went to sleep as well.
The sleep timer works like it is supposed to as well.
In my opinion, the sounds are high quality.

The update - not a fix!
Contrary to what the designer states, even with the update, this app goes silent once you activate another app, like an alarm clock. I'm currently using iOS 9.2.1.
I'm finding many of the ambient sound apps out there can't play in the background! An exception has been the Phase4 Mobile sound apps, like their Rain Sounds HQ and Rain Sounds Free.
This particular app here has a nice selection of sounds and the interface is straightforward and practical. It works fine if you have a separate, tabletop alarm clock.
