It is my go-to for a starting point, often, I only refer to a paper manual as a cross check.
Lots of good load data, some of it not in the main manuals, and there is the ability to journal data from work-up.
Nice to be able to tag preferred loads within the data for each caliber.

Great solution to any reloading bench
It may be easier for mid-to-veteran reloaders. If you have been reloading for 3+ months, you already have established a “system” for record keeping. This app will simplify that without the cramps in the hand. It won’t necessarily “teach” you good record keeping- you gotta kind of know what you’re doing to begin with. Anyway- I love this app and it is exactly what I was looking for.
Start with a given recipe (or heck add your own with the +) then fill it in like you would any paper log. The GREAT thing about this app is it ties in reloading manual, my custom cost records and easy to enter chrono data in the journal to record performance of a specific recipe.
Only thing it needs now is an inventory counter to keep track of rounds loaded vs. rounds expended. THAT would make this a 6 star app for me.

I have amended my review title from “awful” to “challenging”. With help from the developer I have been able to do a little more with this app. But as the title states it is a challenge to understand the way to navigate and use it.

The journal does work. As stated in the help documentation, to add and entry, you must go to the recipe viewer, select and view the recipe you wish to add journal entry for (such that you are now looking at an individual recipe), then below the ballistic data there is a button to view/edit journal entries. You will then be able to add/edit/delete entries specific to the recipe you have selected. When the journal viewer is opened from the main screen, or from the Recipe viewer (where you are seeing many loads for a given caliber) the app does not have a specific reference to a caliber and a load recipe. I presume this is the situation where you are trying to add a journal entry. Although I understand you expect to be given an option to enter all your load information again, the design of this app is that you must select your recipe first, in order to link the recipe to the journal entry and to minimize the need for adding duplicate data. My testers have confirmed that this functionality is still working as expected. Thanks for clarifying what you meant by "I'd rather have more info". Although I can't argue that having specific data for every bullet, every powder, and every charge increment would be nice, it simply isn't practical, especially with the multitude of firearms, the ballistic data will vary quite a bit. I have seen this style on user submitted load data before, but it is very specific to the firearm, barrel length, etc. There are 697 recipes for .223 Remington (Rifle loads) and is meant to give a person a very good start so that they can develop a load for their firearm that works well. With that said, we are always welcome to adding more data, and often do with the request of a user of the App, as long as the data is well documented and has a place on the web that the data can be referenced from. 1. Any entry of measurement that has a Decimal won’t work as there is no way to enter the decimal value.
2. So far, there is no “Look Up” of data
3. I am asked for Powder Manufacturer, then powder name
4. Powder entries. Bullet Diameter. Bullet weight, at least. do not allow for decimals. How do you enter .452 with no decimal?
That’s when I gave up...

1. The defect that caused certain devices to not show a decimal key, has been FIXED. This app fully supports decimal entries, as would be expected. 2. Data can be "looked up" by caliber, filtered by text or whether or not it is a favorite, and can be sorted by any column. 3. This is expected, IE: Hodgdon and Longshot being an example of manufacturer and powder type. 4. Same as number 1...this defect that affected certain devices has been fixed.
