Molte voci, ma poche veramente buone. Sistema di pagamento con i crediti da valutare con attenzione rispetto a soluzioni simili. I love Cromulent but…

I used the free credits buy the Kendra voice and the cost was subtracted from my credit, but when I try to use it the app wants me to buy it again.

This is covered in the FAQ, but if you change anything then the audio file needs to be regenerated and the cloud provider charges money for that, which means I have to charge for it as well. So if you change the speaking rate, the pitch, the voice, or any of the text, credits will be charged to regenerate the audio file. Hope this helps.

DON’T USE THIS APP!

This app will fool you into thinking that it’s great by generating the a.i voices as it should, and then once they are satisfied with the amount of money you’ve spent on credits, the app will mysteriously stop working. You’ll get error messages, screen freezing, and it crashes, just to name a few. No customer support either. STAY AWAY UNLESS YOU DON’T CARE ABOUT GIVING YOUR MONEY AWAY!

Nice app, good value, lacks try option

I like this app. I've used it to create some spoken text recordings. It comes with some free credits which you can use to test different voices, and purchasing more is pretty cheap (at least if you need somallish quantities, such as a page or two of text converted to audio). I do wish it had a try option for each voice, even if a standard text (or maybe even especially so). The free credits obviously allow for this, but it feels annoying to 'pay' for just finding a voice you like.

Won't export the free system voices

Some of the paid voices are pretty good, but you need to weed through them to find what you like. Many are as robotic as other software.

It won't export the free system voices, it will play the text but crash when trying to export. Paid voices seem to work fine. I've tried it on my iMac 2007 as well as my Mac Mini (2020) with M1. Same.

I don't mind paying for the good voices, but there are times when I'd like to use one of the built in free system voices.

Thanks for the review. The app is free, but generating the high quality voices costs money from the services who are providing the neural voices per character, so there isn't any way to make the app free forever if that is what you are hoping for. You can just pay as you go, though. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the review. If you were having a crash when exporting free voices, this is a bug that I have now fixed in v1.0.4. If you update to this new version, it shouldn't crash when you try to export the free voices now. The credits system

for this to be a good idea people should only use the credits if they choose the voice. Not just to listen too it.

High Quality readers are good

The high quality readers are easy to listen to. But, I could not find a way to simply purchase the app and have one or two high quality readers come with it. Also, the system only loads small files

Thanks for the review. There isn't a way to purchase the app. It is free to use as much as you want with the built-in system voices. The high quality voices cost credits per character and you are gifted free credits when you download the app and more can be purchased in the app under File -> Purchase Credits. There isn't a way to purchase just one voice forever as the service we use to generate the voice files charges us by character. You should be able to load large files and it will ask you if you want to truncate the text or split it up into multiple snippets. Promising yet confusing

Opened app and started playing around. Tapped on voices and explored list of options. But every time I selected a voice, it would dismiss the menu and the default voice would remain selected. Feels broken.

Previewing voices worked, but super confused how to select a different voice. I want to like it, I love the collection, but the credit system along with clunky UI gives me worry.
