Sadly the dates are wrong!
Unfortunately all birthdays are a day off what is set in Contacts. Would be useful if at least that were correct...
Buggy
It worked beautifully before then all of a sudden the birthdays started flagging up the day AFTER the person's birthday. Fix this and I'll rate it 5!
Good app
Does what it sets out to do well. Push notifications would be great, and I see they'll be included in the full version, but perhaps email notification would also be good. This means that it's not quite so immediate as Push, but it still reminds you of the birthday.
Easy and works
Just make sure you have birthdays in the correct field in contacts and it works great I would like to see a bubble appear on the icon showing this weeks number of birthdays. Actually I'd like to see a "died" field too.
Too limiting
I like the simplicity but it's a little TOO simple I want to be able to track birthdays of people not in my contacts and it would be nice to set up alerts.

I wish it was also separate from the contacts list. Tedious to put all those in there
Simple and useful
Works perfectly on my ipod ! And it's add free! That's more than enough to me!
Brilliant!
I love it. Keeps me up to date. But could use a fourth color for within a months so you have more time to buy them a gift.
Two main problems
1. Should be able to add birthdays that aren't on your contact list

Great tool for BD reminders
This app works great together with the "Add Birthday" app.
One problem one suggestion
Problem: you actually have to open the app. to check birthdays; it doesn't let you know on it's own. Sorry dad for not calling:(
Suggestion: allow me to add other birthdays not in my contacts. My ten month old godson doesn't have a cell phone yet so he's not in my contacts.
Otherwise I love the app. but I will abandon it soon if these changes are not made.

I think all it needs is to be able to add other ppl's birthdays that are not on your contacts...that way you really won't forget all the other birthdays... Then it would be the best birthday app
Does the job
Having imported contact birthdays from facebook using another app, Birthminder is very useful.
It provides offline access to birthdays (that I would normally have to get from facebook) and saves me from having birthdays of less important contacts taking up my calendar space. Birthminder also allows me to catch any important birthdays that I had missed so that I can add them to my calendar. Plus it always looks good when you remember someone's birthday and Birthminder's made that much easier.
Only criticism is that the app lists how old the contact is now, rather than how old they will be on their birthday, which would be more obvious. Would also be nice to have contact anniversaries added too but given that it's free, I'd say Birthminder is still a 4* app.
Update: I now use fbCal to create a calendar of Facebook birthdays on Google Mail, that syncs with my iPhone's calendar. Birthminder is still much easier to setup and only shows birthdays of your most important contacts (i.e. only those on your iPhone, not all your Facebook ones).

One flaw
In order to get notification app has to open then closed. Once this is done it will show the notification on the icon. If this can be fixed it would be great. Also should sync with calander.

Great App!
Always fogotting B-days that are coming up.....but just downloaded this app and it works great! Now I have make seperate entries in my contacts so they show up here!

WARNING!
Neat concept..But this app CORRUPTED my contact list right after I added it & put in b'dates into my contact..then went to check this app. Suddenly ind. contacts would immediately go blank then flash to the home page all w/in 3-4 seconds. After several long phone calls with Apple techs and having to, ultimately, do the dreaded complete ERASE & RESTORE function (ugh)..I now have my "phone" back.....and very carefully adding back my lost apps -- but not this one :-(
Hint: ALWAYS frequently back up your iPhone..techs suggested every 2 weeks or so to keep on top of all the new Apple updates/repair patches that are also checked for automatically when sync'd...this will help you recover some of your data if you ever have to go through such a journey......
