About

remindol is a simple medication reminder. Set your schedule, get a reminder at those times, and keep a record of what you took. It is made for people who manage their own medicines, and for family who help them set it up. ADD A MEDICINE, ONE STEP AT A TIME • Type the name, or take or choose a photo of the box instead. • Choose how often: once a day, every night, every 4, 6, 8 or 12 hours, at set times, every 2 to 30 days, or on certain weekdays. • For a dose a day, pick roughly when, such as in the morning, and see the time remindol picks. Or set an exact time. • Start now or from a date. End on a date or after a number of doses, if you need to. • Add the dosage and instructions as your doctor, pharmacist or the label gives them. Tap a common one, such as "With food", to save typing. • See the first doses before you save. • Change, pause or archive a medicine later. Its past records stay as they are. A REMINDER AT THE TIME YOU SET • By default, a reminder says only "Medicine reminder". Others who see your screen cannot tell which medicine it is. • Or choose to show the medicine name and dosage. Then press and hold the reminder to tap Taken or Remind me later. remindol opens and records your answer. • Remind me later waits 30 minutes before the next reminder. Settings can make it 10 or 60. • If nothing is recorded, remindol can remind you once more after 30 minutes. With many doses a day, some doses get no follow-up. You can change this, or turn it off, in Settings. TODAY AND HISTORY • Today shows the day's doses in time order, with a large Taken button. • Tapped by mistake? Tap Undo, or open the dose and change it. • Took it earlier? Record the time you took it. • History shows every past dose, day by day: Taken, Skipped or Not confirmed. PRIVATE BY DESIGN • No account and no sign-up • Your records are kept on your iPhone • No ads, no analytics and no server • Delete all data, in Settings, removes your medicines, records and settings, and cancels their reminders BACKUP AND RESTORE • Make a backup file, encrypted with a passphrase you choose, and save it where you like. • Restore it on a new iPhone or after reinstalling. Medicine photos come back too. • remindol cannot recover a forgotten passphrase, so keep it somewhere safe. EASY TO READ • Large text and big buttons, with larger text in Settings • Light and dark themes, or the same as your iPhone • Made to work with VoiceOver • English, Dutch, German, Spanish and Persian, with the Gregorian or the Jalali calendar FREE remindol is free, with no ads and no subscription. GOOD TO KNOW • Reminders follow your iPhone's notification settings. A Focus, such as Do Not Disturb, can silence them. Settings has a test reminder and help. • remindol plans reminders up to two weeks ahead, so open it now and then. If you do not, a last notification asks you to. • It cannot follow every schedule, such as every 5 hours, or doses that change from day to day. A MEDICAL NOTE remindol does not give medical advice. Follow the instructions from your doctor or pharmacist.
