My transfer is in limbo, and none of their agents have any clue where the money is. They keep repeating the same line, like we are waiting for our partner bank to reply. They have no timeline for when it will get resolved or what the problem is, or, as a matter of fact, have no clue at all. On top of it, they said they could not even cancel and put money back into my wallet.

Spent 20 min waiting at #1 in chat support and no one ever came to help. Called and no one answered. Money was deducted from my bank but is not deposited yet. More and more ads; just moved to another app.

Edit: the issue with our account was fixed so my fiancé can access her money again. Thank you! This app is a great place for savings and for our emergency fund. I do highly recommend it if you have a loved one in the Philippines

I have connected with 3 people in the Philippines to use the app and all 3 have had difficulty getting connected. Sometimes I need to send money quickly and days of trying too get tech support too fix it doesn't work.
Recently I tried to get support for someone and they told me she needs to call. She called and no one answered the line. She chatted and the first question was to give a transaction reference number. Which she couldn't get because she couldn't log in. So I sent it to her and she shared it and they can't seem to get it.
It's good when it works but it's too often it doesn't work. I sponsor two young women for college and was sending a small amount weekly and it's a good conversion rate and no fees.
I hope it gets easier to use for my sponsees.

It’s a scam
I sent money to my brother in the Philippines this December 24, 2024 and the ref # that they gave me does not work. I called numerous times and they can’t find the ref number either. My brother has gone to the bank to try to pick up and he could not.
Other version of joint account
I’ve been using Remitly since I resided in the US to send money to my family in the Philippines. I also got problem at first on adding money in my account but it was resolved immediately when I talked to their customer service and fixed the issue. (Exceptional customer service) to “RIO” thank you. It is easy to use and your money is secured.
