This WAS my always ready remote
After iOS 15.1 on phone and watchOS 8.1 the remote app no longer sees the Apple TV. Disabled private address in Wi-Fi and persist after rebooting all devices. Submitting feedback on apple.com/feedback if there is a matching category.
Watch doesn't connect to TV
I just bought the new apple tv 4k and was really excited to be able to connect it to all my devices. However, it doesn't let me connect the apple watch with the TV. The instructions provided by Apple seem to be outdated.
Apple TV not recognised by this app
For some strange reason, apple tv 4k won’t show up in this app on the watch. The phone is paired to the TV and remote works flawless there. But this app won’t recognise the TV and only has the add device + showing, completely useless, as the newer TV cannot be paired that way!
In Home App on the watch, TV is recognised and can do basic start and pause. Seriously what is going on with this app?! searching internet yields no answers, but people with same problems and different fixes. Some unauthorised all their devices, some suggested to launch Home app first. Apple FAQ gives no help.

Sick of this app
Doest work. All apple info online is wrong or outdated. Will not connect no matter what directions Apple tries to give you. Frustrating fail for two major Apple products to not work together.
Started well, became dodgy and unreliable
Used to be great. Never had an issue connecting with either of my Apple TVs. Now it’s dodgy as and is a real pain to use. Doesn’t stay connected. Keeps disconnecting. Can’t even pair it with one of my Apple TVs anymore. Needs fixing or just taken back to what it used to be.

No longer connects to apple tv. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling but nothing works. I can access the apple tv through the “now playing” app but the remote app itself is broken.
Cannot remove old Apple TV’s on watch
There an Apple TV that I no longer own that cannot be removed from the remote app. When pressing the remove button, nothing happens and the app tries (and fails) to connect to that Apple TV instead.
Disconnects
Keeps disconnecting, but seems better on WatchOS 8.
