Indispensable accessory

Great add on to any sim. Adds a very helpful level of functionality and realism to your system. Works beautifully and looks stunning.

Nearly but not quite

I own a number of Remoteflight products and I have to say congratulations on a fine suite of flight sim addons. However, radio app could be so much better if controlling the frequencies was so much more user friendly. The graphics are superb but changing the frequencies with the dials is frustrating to say the least. I notice there hasn’t been an update for several years now and if there were to be a more recent improvement then I would suggest making the dials more user friendly. Apart from this I would highly recommend any of these products for the serious flight simmer.

Garbage

Since downloading this app I can say it's complete garbage. After taking an hour to finally get synced up, and purchasing a $27 license for the wideclient software to run this (which I guess you don't even need but the support website links you to download the fsuipc4 and the directions in there clearly state you need to purchase the license for wide client) I was able to get it to connect. However, the connection constantly cuts out between my iPad and pc, which causes the radio frequencies to randomly change back and forth. This app is unusable and cost me $41 total. I use AirTrack which connects the same way as remoteflight, and I have zero issues with it cutting in and out. An absolute waste of time and money.

Doesn’t work

Can’t get this to work with a flight simulator. You have to dive into the murky world of firewall rules etc. the test says the server is working, but can’t get it to connect to the iPad.

Works great with Xplane11. Radio missing two key elements

I have been using this with xplane11 on Mac for a couple of weeks now and it works great. The problem is there isn't a button for ident and there is no way to turn com1 and com2 on and off. What's the point in using an iPad if you still have to change your cockpit view and use your mouse for these two things. Also the autopilot status isn't always in sync with xplane. Sometimes the light says its enabled when it isn't on the simulator. I will give this 5 stars when these features are added.

Changed rating: Loving it

At first I gave the app a very low rating as it appeared as if another purchase was required to get it to run. I was incorrect. Use the installer for remoteflight and the software I was concerned about is included.

I'm happy to report that the software is running smoothly and works flawlessly.

Thanks dev for your patience.

Nice app; touch controls funky

I purchased the bundle of these iPad apps, but the one I wanted the most was this one. First of all, it looks great. Had no problem getting it connected to X-Plane via Remote Server, following the directions online.

I've mounted my iPad Air on a magic arm I have from my photography work, and it positions the panel right at my arm's reach. Very convenient.

So far, so good. Now for the not so good. The touch controls are very unpredictable and touchy, and this is NOT good. Trying to spin the frequency knobs to turn can be a nightmare, and the last thing you want to be is distracted while switching from Center to Approach, or from Approach to Tower, for example. You think you're spinning CW and the dial rotates CCW. You think you're adjusting the inner knob, and you're actually changing the outer knob. This drives me CRAZY.

I'll give this app some more time, but right now, I can't recommend it.

Crippled for X-Plane on Mac

I'm running X-Plane on Mac OSX and I love the radio stack functionality - so much easier than using a mouse and response is virtually instant. I was very disappointed, however, to find out, after I spent my $13, that the auto-pilot functionality does not work with X-plane on the Mac (touch anything on the AP and it crashes X-Plane). If you dig into the developer site you will find reference to the AP not being compatible since v10.31, but the App Store description gives no hint of this. This limitation should be disclosed on the App Store. I hope the developers address this shortcoming - if they can get the AP working like the radios I would gladly give 5 stars.

radio hd

Top flight program. I have found this an indispensable asset along with the Map HD and Cockpit HD. Setup was quick and faultless.

RemoteFlight Server didn't work....

I bought RemoteFlight Cockpit, RemoteFlight Map HD, and RemoteFlight Radio HD. I had a problem getting the apps to connect to the RemoteFlight server on my PC. Vlada, the developer, responded to my requests for help and we got it all working. The apps are very well done and make FSX and Prepar3D even more enjoyable. Great apps and great support!

Fantastic

This is an awesome app. You can control your radios and autopilot in fsx directly from your ipad and see the values change in your pc monitor. The realism is unbelievable. I am a private pilot and use fsx when not flying the real thing. I recommend this app.

Great!! But....

Works great for using the autopilot and setting up an ils approach... Looked for a long time for something be able to control the a/p without a mouse! Or a 150 dollar component! Cheers to the developers and will soon by the cockpit app!

Ok so I took away a star because the server keeps crashing my vatsim flights and causing autopilot errors mid flight.... So keep this in mind when purchasing...

So far the best app to play fs9 , fsx

I am a professional pilot . And this is the most real and helpful thing that you can have to complete your home cockpit. Awesome.

RF Radios

This app works exactly as advertised and really improves the flight sim experience. I use it alongside the RF map and Cockpit HD apps. They are all excellent, work well together and are beautifully finished. My only criticism is that the Radio app is fixed in portrait mode. Whilst I appreciate that the radios in a real aircraft would be displayed in that layout it makes it awkward when using it with the other two apps. When toggling between the three, the map and cockpit work well in landscape but you have to turn the iPad through 90 degrees to view the radios.

Other than that, all three are excellent and I highly recommend them. Oh it works perfectly with Lockheed Martin's Prepar3d.

Pilot

This app was very easy to set up with x plane 10 and makes controlling the communication equipment simple. No more looking down into the cockpit to change frequencies or the transponder. I use it with the bk117 helicopter.
