Thanks Mark — this is really helpful feedback, and you're in luck: version 1.1.0 (in review now) adds a "Return to Shortcuts" setting so you can turn that bounce-back off, plus a background "Convert Markdown to HTML" action if you'd rather not show the viewer at all. The viewer waits for you to close it so the content stays on screen until you're done reading, but making the return optional was exactly the right call. Hope the update works better for your scenarios — please let me know!

Thank you! That's exactly the spirit behind the app — extending Shortcuts in ways Apple hasn't. Have fun integrating it, and 1.1.0 (coming soon) adds a unified "View Content" action that auto-detects HTML vs Markdown to make it even easier. (And ha — an AppleScript-to-Shortcuts converter would be amazing.)
