Learn it, love it
My first use of the app was not a great experience. Then, I took about 5 minutes to learn how to navigate the app and my experience has been great ever since that effort.
Paper anywhere
It’s convenient to have the paper app on the phone and it works well, responsive and intuitive.
Read on iPad
Way better reading RGJ on my iPad. Also cheaper.
Get your news quick
App is easy to manage and I appreciate getting the news even when I’m not home to read the paper
Easy Read
Enjoying RGJ. Reads like the old newspaper only seems like more content.
Format appreciated, lack of reliability not
I appreciate the availability of the traditional newspaper format, however loading issues and the occasional scrambled article distract.
Reno Gazette-Journal
Crucial local information source, especially due to high-quality journalists.
Reno Gazette-Journal
Easy to navigate and always arrives on time. I use an Apple 13 phone. I am very pleased with the E edition, easier to read than the newspaper version and cost less!
RGJ online
I read the Reno Gazette Journal and the Arizona Republic everyday. The Reno paper is far superior because they don't have a political agenda. The Republic is an unabashed Liberal propaganda rag. Read the paper once and you will find the liberal writers outnumber the conservative 9 to 1. And the one conservative is an intellectual that talks on a plane above the average reader. I have read daily newspapers all my 83 years and the Republic is the worst. If I had to read the Republic's Montini , Goodytoshoes and the vicious ladies everyday, I would die. So , I choose to read the Reno paper instead of the local one where I live.

LEAVE USA TODAY WEEKEND EDITION UP FOR THE WEEKEND!
The Weekend Edition appears on Fridays but then disappears on Saturdays. It is the “Weekend Edition”; please leave it up and accessible until Sunday night!
Works for me!
Only problem is occasionally you tap accidentally somewhere and get a big white space. I usually have to close out and reopen to get rid of it.
Thankyou for preserving print style news
As a baby boomer, I’ve always had a printed newspaper in my hand. With the evolution of digital information I feared the loss. Accepting change is necessary but I applaud this hybrid and hope it will be available until my generation is in the rear view mirror.
Usually works well
The app usually works well.
RGJ Online is Excellent
We continue to enjoy reading the RGJ online. Keeps us up to date on things even when we travel out of the area. Keep up the good work!
Great way to start my day
Easy to use. No fuss. Quick. Love having local journalists.

Paper is small for a city this size. I used to get the print edition as I like to sit down with a paper, but the bill never made sense and was not what was advertised so I went strictly digital.
App Finally Works - Oct 2021
I’ve been using this app for ~4 years, and it’s had some significant issues in the past with graphics/pictures not downloading in a readable resolution, frequent crashes, etc.
However, the current app version (3.5.03) in the past few weeks is FANTASTIC compared to previous versions.
* Graphics consistently download all the time. (NOTE: I have my app set to download the entire paper to read offline as soon as I open it—which may have made the difference.)
* But most of all the fit to screen functionality finally works in a usable way. The new “Swipe” instead of the old “Read” function is exactly what I’ve wanted for years. When I swipe to a new page, it automatically repositions to the top of the next page. The “Fit” button actually re-fits the page to fit width-wise instead of showing two full (so tiny they’re unreadable) pages. AWESOME!
I didn’t realize how annoyed I was with the old version and how cumbersome it was to use until I see the new version work so well.

Reno Gazette-Journal on line.
Much happier reading the full paper on line, living in Idaho, than daily updates with got-ya spend now advertising. I delivered Journal mornings in SW Reno, 92 on weekdays and 128 on Sundays! During the week I was downtown (Douglas Alley in the clubs) selling the Reno Evening Gazette out of bags over my shoulder! Time frame 1954 thru 1959. Personnel collecting for the door to door was a blessing at Xmas time! Job was fun even in bad weather! Thanks for the moment to share!! John Jepson Reno Hi grad 1963!
