Usable, could use one improvement
It works. One way it can be improved is if we could customize. I live in an apartment, the community access sites are all under one tab. Every time I enter the apartment complex, I have to scroll all the way down to specifically find the "front door" access. It would be great if we could just favorite certain access sites. It would save time and make the app more efficient for users. Otherwise a good app!

Poor customer service
Especially on the weekends, you a hard to understand East Indian who does know how to fix anything related to the Rently app.
Additionally, the customer service person I talk to on Monday was not any better.
When I talked to our subdivision maintenance man, he solved my problem easily over the phone.

Door lock
The door lock was jammed but after a few quick fixes it’s working perfectly , Rently Smart Home app makes your life easier, faster and safer.
Great but Needs Widget
The app works great. I never have any issues. I wish that the app had a widget where I didn’t have to go all the way into the app to use the functions. It would be nice to quickly be able to unlock my doors.
CarPlay Please
Been using the app as part of the tools given by the leasing office in my complex and it’s great. Please support CarPlay to open de garage door from your car without having to reach your phone. That would make a 5 star for me. Cheers!
Horrible
Says customer support 24/7 but I can never get an answer. My lock is constantly beeping and says the code is incorrect and I cannot reset the door code through the app.
Poor design cheap construction worst tech support possible.
We had 297 units at the apartments I manage. Half of the hubs never worked right out of the box new. And 48 locks not work or go bad with in a year. The set up takes about 1 hour for 1 deadbolt and 1 thermostat. The hubs have an almost direct line of sight and range of about 20 feet which is nothing. The app is glitchy and no one the employees here or the residents here like rently. It’s terrible. Better than LATCH though I’ll say that but still very bad and frustrating system and products. I do not recommend this trash.

Always Malfunctioning
This app gives me anxiety. The lock codes have NEVER worked consistently nor properly since 2023. And what’s the point of having the option to have your thermostat on a schedule when the app NEVER follows the schedule? I’m tired of having to call support for a temporary fix. I’m tired of having to disconnect & reconnect from the hub. Over and over and over again. Even that little red button is probably tired of seeing me, lol. Because I’m definitely tired of pressing it. How about Rently properly fix the bugs so that we may ACTUALLY have a halfway legitimate smart home??

You can't actually control the thermostat... why is a thermostat showing on the app preview if it's not truly a feature... useless app
Terrible
My apartments switched to Rently to open security doors and garages 4 months ago. The doors never unlock right away (there is a 5 second delay even when it does work). I always have to try at least 4 times. This is extremely annoying when I’m trying to enter the garage or home I pay for. Totally unacceptable performance every single time.

camera won’t connect
can’t connect to my camera after it’s been working for months. just stopped connecting, extremely frustrating.
Widgets/HomeKit functionality
This app has gotten better and better with every update. It works well with the Rently Hub, especially when it’s a wired connection. HomeKit functionality or a widget would be super helpful!
Locked out
I have been locked out of my main building and just my unit building. Neither time has customer service been able to help me regain entrance. I am unable to open amenity doors with my app, and for multiple months my codes did not work to any other doors.

It’s noice to have. You can tell when doors are locked and unlocked. Alarm is handy too
Lock not connecting
It was working and now it doesn’t connect. I tried to get in touch with customer service, get help, uninstalled and reinstalled, replaced batteries and it still doesn’t work. The app is iffy and once it stops I’m sure I won’t be able to get into my house since there is no other key for the place.
