New update broke many settings

Both Amazing and Persnickety
Inexpensive beginner unit which touts several quality features. Activation, setup and mounting are a breeze. But you don’t know what its going to do; temperamental support techs…they are more interested in your id# and order# than your problem. I had to update app because it stopped working suddenly. New layout design with no instructs on new icons. Nighttime color is awesome. It sees through the dark. Outside its dark to naked eye. But on camera its photo/videos for easy clips with color and distance clarity; cars in 30+moh motion won’t be anything helpful… bc blur-streaks. But overall to get the quality it produces you’d need a tripod with long exposure shutter of 15+ seconds. Two non-wifi 4G LTE Cellular models have a bit of lag occasionally but it’s not terrible. You have to pay separately for data usage but can mount anywhere you want it. Access cameras ALL from one app with internet access smartphones. Cost is reasonable and you can find cellular data deals.

Terrible updates
I love my reolink cameras. Have 20+ and a few nvrs/standalones etc. The recent update in September is unusable. Ruined the experience for me. They took away so much good functionality... It gets worse every update.

The latest update has completely ruined how you review videos ! It’s a horrible new layout that makes it next too impossible not to get frustrated
Undo the changes
The changes to the app interface that were introduced in the recent update have made it much more cumbersome to access and switch between settings. Now when I hit the settings icon, all I get is settings for tgat particular camera. That's ridiculous.
Good app but no horizontal viewing on iPad
Would be nice if I could view horizontal on the Home Screen not just when viewing a camera.
Constantly Disconnecting.
Works well for about 2 weeks, then it stops working and takes a couple of days to reset. It also won’t accept a memory card, and if you purchase it online, you have to pay for their iCloud storage. Overall, definitely not worth the money.
Latest update issue
The button on the top left of the screen to minimise the view to access another camera no longer works since latest update. Using IPad 17.6.1
Lost a good playback feature
Last app update in September destroyed a good playback feature. Gone are the quick timeline clips that highlighted what motions caused the recording. Now a pinch zoom timeline so no indication of trigger motion until you zoom too far up to make it worthwhile. Bring back the other playback please !!!

This version has removed features, relocated settings in obscure places, and a total disaster.
Too clunky for 2026
Nearly any other app works better just to open an account. They give you a ten digit confirmation code that you can’t cut and paste from the email and so if you can’t remember ten digits you have to physically worry it down just to get a stupidest account, which I would not need in the first place if Reo allowed two people to access the same account without mining everyone’s personal data first. I do not recommend.

Late 2026: STOP CHANGING THINGS FOR THE SAKE OF CHANGE! I swear to God, app makers keep changing things just for the sake of it but kill functionality and intuitiveness. I loathe Reolink for this.
The latest update has made viewing cameras a horrible task. Camera feeds used to load rather quickly, now it is painfully slow. It takes about 10-15 seconds to load PoE cameras on the same network. I hate it.

Doesn’t work
Can’t connect to my NVR or Camera. Tried all the ways they have suggested, just doesn’t work! Avoid this brand if you can.

The app looks great following the latest release. However, it remains difficult to use on an iPad.
The layout leaves a lot of unused space and does not make full use of the screen. There is also no convenient way to view all channels together or adjust the layout to fit the screen.
While the visual improvements are welcome, please consider improving the iPad experience through better use of screen space, easier channel browsing, and options to adjust the view.

Please put the app back the way it was the new controls, absolutely stink, he took a perfectly functioning app and made it clunky and now is not user-friendly. I will change this review when you put it back the way it was. 👎🏼

Danke das Sie auf die Reolink Nutzer gehört und den PIR wieder zugefügt haben sowie auch zusätzlich noch einen PIR Button bei der Übersicht jeder Kamera eingefügt haben.
Auch das neue Erscheinungsbild und die Übersicht ist modern und übersichtlich neu gestaltet worden, danke sehr 🙏

Should be called reoSTINKS
I started using Reolink in 2020 and was so impressed with my first cameras I now have 27, most of which are WiFi only, the rest are cellular. What I have learned over the years is an IDIOT is in charge of the app updates,
Typically, ReoSTINK makes simple tasks (like turning the PIR function on and off) into complicated and unnecessary steps. My analogy is like you wake up in the morning and discover someone has removed your socks from your dresser and placed them in a box in the basement… and you go to your backyard to look for your dog and discover someone put the dog house on your roof… you can no longer park your car in the garage because ReoSTINK decided to “park” your washer and dryer.
Long story made short, the IDIOT at ReoSTINK is making me think I should start buying security cameras made by someone else,
