It’s a rep timer. No more, no less.
Simple is quite a difficult ask these days. This is a great little app, easy to use and sleek to look at. If you need a functional timer that won’t get in your way, this is it. Thank you!
My small suggestions, a button to toggle some text to remind me about the swipe right gesture, and to tell me the name and version of the app.
The ability to name saved timers and the choice of a few tones would. Not a complaint at all. This app does the job perfectly!

Hi and thank you for your kind words. It means a lot to know that Rep Timer is helpful. I'll definitely look at a way to implement your suggestions; they are all great. It was always meant to be a simple app, so any changes will be done with this in mind as I don't want to clutter it.
Not what I hoped

Hi. Thanks for your review. New features like what you sound to be asking for are things I’m happy to do. I think that to best meet your needs it would be helpful if you email support@pkclsoft.com with a bit more detail and we can work something out. Always happy to enhance the app so long as it’s in line with the overall design.
It works!

Thank you! I’m really glad it’s helping. It was indeed my own physio exercises that I wrote it for originally so it’s very much tailored to that need.
Easy to use and fair price
There are only 2 things I’m missing:
- an option to repeat the sets and have a break inbetween (i.e. 10 reps = 1 set, and i want to do 3 sets with 30 sec break between the sets)
- that it runs in the background, so you can read in / listen to other apps, but still get the audio prompts
Response from developer
Hi there and thanks for the review and kind words. Regarding your two requests; the first I will look into adding in an update in the near future (it will not be in 1.8). The second already works in the WatchOS app. On the phone it is a little more complicated but I am currently testing one possible solution. [Update] Getting it working in the background is much harder on the phone. The next update does however ensure that any audio you have running is no longer stopped.
Just what I wanted
Suggestions:
- I’d like if there were three seconds or so before the whole set started so that I can position myself (grab my band or something).
- I’d also prefer if there were a few tone options. I’m sensitive to sound and the ding hurts my ears. I’d even take the other tone twice to cue the end of the rep.
- It’d be nice if I could name the saved rep settings.
Lastly, I’m not sure how to do the other cue method where I can use a wood table.
I still think it’s worth the dollar and give it 5 stars. It took me…less than a min(?) to search, install, and start my PT reps with cues.

Thank you for your review, and for your suggestions! I’ve just updated the app with two of your requested features. I hope you like it. I'm not sure quite what you mean regarding the other cue method. If you'd like to email me at support@pkclsoft.com to explain then I can look into that too. Rep Timer was originally a project to help myself as I overcame an injury, so it's really satisfying to know that it is of benefit to others too.
