User reviews

Stopped working

Updated my iPad Pro and now the app no longer works.

Super love this one

Feature request: a microfade setting or fade in out (envelope) setting. Clicks and pops can be a problem other than that it adds such a nice movement to content.

Doesn’t work on iPhone iOS 13

This app doesn’t work on iPhone iOS 13 in garage band… Save your money if you’re thinking about using it in this DAW... buy sEGments it actually works when you pay for it, What a concept!

No issues at all

Loving this app exactly what I was looking for! Sounds great, easy to use, no fuss! If any change I will edit later.

Worth the price and more

Using this with on iPad Pro, ios 11.4, AUM as AU host, and its working perfectly. Probably the best stutter effect option for ios, per se.

FAQ

What is Replicant 2?

Replicant 2 is an audio effect plugin that functions as a randomized looper and buffer reverse, incorporating a stutter effect. It's designed to add unique, chance-based elements to music production, particularly for percussive material.

What kind of music is Replicant 2 best for?

Replicant 2 is primarily meant for percussive, straight-time material such as drum loops. While it can be used on other material, users should be aware of potential clicking on legato material due to its glitch effect nature.

Does Replicant 2 work standalone?

Replicant 2 is a tempo-based effect that requires a host providing transport information. While a standalone application is supplied, it needs an Inter-App Audio connection to a host with transport to function. The AUv3 version is strongly recommended.

What hosts are recommended for Replicant 2?

The developers strongly recommend using the AUv3 version with hosts that provide transport. Recommended hosts include BeatMaker 3, AUM, Cubasis, ModStep, GarageBand, and AudioBus 3.

Can I use Replicant 2 on an iPhone?

Yes, an iPhone version is available for cross-compatibility. However, the developers note that the controls are very small and can be difficult to use on this device, and do not recommend it for iPhone use.

How much does Replicant 2 cost?

Replicant 2 is a paid application, priced at $5.99. There are no in-app purchases or subscription models associated with this app.
