About

Reply Required is family messaging for parents and teens, built around one idea: some messages need an answer. Mark a message Reply Required. Until your teen opens the app and replies, the apps they chose to pause stay paused. The moment they reply, everything comes back. HOW IT WORKS - A parent starts the family and adds each child with a code - On your child's phone, choose which apps pause, like games or video, behind a parent passcode - Mark any message Reply Required, in a one-to-one chat or the family chat - Your child sees what's left to do, replies, and their apps come back MORE THAN MESSAGES - Add a chore, and the same apps pause until it's checked off - Pause apps now when you need their attention, and turn it off whenever you like - See each child's status and open tasks at a glance - A family group chat plus one-to-one threads - Pip, a friendly guide, walks you through setup. Parents can also ask Pip questions in their own words, answered by AI BUILT TO BE FAIR - A pause never lasts more than an hour. Apps come back on their own, even with no signal, so no one is ever stuck - "I need my apps right now" is always on the pause screen - Choose apps that are always allowed, like Phone and Messages PRIVATE BY DESIGN - Family only: people join with a code from a parent - The list of paused apps stays on your child's phone - No ads, no analytics, no tracking - Report a message, or block another parent - Delete your account, or your child's, from inside the app Parents sign in with Apple or Google. Free.

A fresh new look, and the family chat front and center. - The app now opens right on your family chat. Everything else is one tap away in the menu. - Send photos, snap one with the camera, or find the right GIF. - The Fridge: every photo and video shared with the family, all in one place. - Give your family a name and an emoji, and let everyone know you're "On my way" or "Home" with one tap. - Call anyone in the family from their page, using the number already in your contacts. - Notifications arrive again, so a message that needs an answer reaches your phone right away. - Everyone shows up by their real name. - Every parent can now require replies, pause apps and set chores. - A pause lasts until they reply or finish the chore, and chores stay on the list until they're done. The pause screen always has "I need my apps right now". - Help answers your questions in plain words, right in the app. - Choose light, dark or automatic, and make the words as big as you like.
