REQ is a request management tool for DJs playing live.
Instead of people shouting at the booth mid-mix, your crowd scans a QR code you display and sends a track request from a web page. Nothing to install on their side, no account. It lands on your phone, and you handle it from one screen, in the two seconds you get between two mixes.
WHAT A REQUEST LOOKS LIKE
Three things, nothing else: the track title, the artist when it was typed in, and the amount attached to it, read-only.
TWO BUTTONS
Accept, and the track drops into your "to play" queue right under the inbox. Decline, and the request is closed. One tap each, side by side, thumb-sized, built to be read in the dark with one hand. Tap "played" when you have dropped it and it leaves the queue.
Nothing enters your set without your yes. The amount is only authorized when the request is sent: accepting collects it, declining releases the authorization. That call is made on our servers, never inside the app.
YOU DON'T MISS ONE
A push notification hits your phone on every new request, with the track, the artist and the amount. The inbox also refreshes itself every 10 seconds and vibrates when something new lands.
YOUR QR, READY FOR THE BOOTH
A full-screen QR with your name on it, and the link copyable in one tap. The app also renders twelve ready-made visuals: three print formats and three social formats (square, 16:9, 9:16), each in French and in English. Save them to your photos, or send them straight to a printer or to a story.
WHAT YOU KEEP TRACK OF
A history of every request you decided on, with the track, the artist, the amount, the status and the date. And three figures on their own screen: today, this month, all time, shown net of the 20% REQ keeps on an accepted request.
SET UP ONCE
Sign in with your email and a one-time code. No password. Set your DJ name, your Instagram handle, and the minimum amount a request has to carry, anywhere between 3 and 200 euros. Payouts run through Stripe: the app opens Stripe's own pages in your browser so you can add your details there. No banking form inside the app. Until payouts are active, the QR stays locked.
You never spend a cent inside this app, and nothing is sold in it. Amounts are read-only, everywhere.
Full English and French, picked up from your phone at first launch, switchable in Settings.
REQ is in beta. iOS first.
