Doesn’t work at all
The focus doesn’t allow it to work with iPhone pro cameras, with the focus being set the way it is. Great idea but poor implementation.

Doesn’t work at all. Turns the camera / flashlight full blast. I think the glare off of the resistor is “blinding” it. Does not work at all.

Causes high anxiety because it doesn’t work. Even on white paper, it just glitches and shows some color bands on bottom of screen.

doesn’t work on iPhone 12 mini
The resistor is too small in the frame for the app to see it. If I get closer, the image gets blurry and the app complains the image is not in focus.
Lost my time plus 2 usd
It simply does not work.
It needs autofocus
The app only uses a single zoom level, with no option to autofocus, so scanning a resistor that’s not in focus is almost impossible, and moving it into focus just shows a blank white box with no data, and no resistor color bands.
Doesnt work with all resistors
Two stars for the effort. Keep at it, you’ll eventually make this a working resistor identifier.
A must-have app for the color-blind
As a colorblind person learning electronics, I've had trouble evaluating color-coded resistors; this app has largely solved my problem, though it has some limitations.
Focusing on a beige resistor against a pale background will allow it to read the bands and give you the values.The app is both responsive and accurate, within its limitations. It does not, however, work with resistors more than four bands, resistors with a blue body or with resistors below 10 Ohms.
Another limitation is that it has trouble working against dark, complex or visually-confused backgrounds, so reading the value of a resistor 'in situ' may be problematic. I have worked around this problem by cutting out a small piece of 3"x5" index card and slidingit under the resistor to provide the uniform, pale background that the app needs.
Seems to work well, though, within the limits described above. I would recommend it for any color-blind person trying to evaluate resistors.

Corrupted download
I just purchased a copy of your resist vision for iPhone 6 it downloaded corrupted and does not work : it does not show anything and come out blank. Please advise

Works great for carbon film resistors as long as you place resistor on white sheet of paper.
