About

Respite helps you scroll less without white-knuckling it. Pick the apps that pull you in, set one limit per app, and let Biscuit the fox step in with a gentle pause before the scroll takes over. WHAT'S IN RESPITE • A pause before you scroll Open a tracked app and Respite covers it with a short, friendly check-in. Leave, or continue after a moment. It's enough of a beat to ask whether you really meant to open it. • Lock, At limit or Nudge, per app Choose what happens when time is up. Lock covers the app for the rest of the day, At limit pauses you once you reach your limit, and Nudge gives you a quiet reminder and nothing more. Your time refreshes at midnight. • One limit on every device Sign in and your limits follow you, so a limit set on your iPhone holds on your other phone, tablet or browser too. (Syncing across devices is an optional Respite Sync subscription.) • Three ways to pause Pause every time, let Smart timing space check-ins to suit you after a few quick questions, or set a time budget before you start. • Insights that make sense Today, this week and this month at a glance: day by day, app by app, when you use them, and the time you won back. • Journey: streaks, quests and acorns Keep a streak for each app, finish three small quests a day, earn acorns for days you keep and open a weekly chest. Spend acorns on streak freezes and ways to dress up Biscuit. A missed day becomes a comeback, not a failure. • Friends and weekly leagues Add friends with an invite link or a code and see who kept their limits. Climb a weekly league, or hide yourself from leagues whenever you like. • Home Screen widget See today's progress without opening the app. PRIVACY Respite uses Apple's Screen Time framework, which keeps the apps you pick private, even from Respite. App names never leave your iPhone. Signing in is optional, and it backs up your progress and syncs your limits. Your display name is the only thing other people see. No ads, and Respite never sells your data. You can delete your account in the app at any time (You > Account > Manage account). Respite Sync is an auto-renewing subscription (monthly or yearly) or a one-time lifetime purchase. Subscriptions renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends, and you can manage or cancel them in your Apple Account settings.
