ReSpool

ReSpool writes the NFC tag that Anycubic ACE 3D printers read to identify filament. Anycubic only sells spools with these tags, so filament from any other brand is invisible to the printer. ReSpool writes a blank NFC sticker with the material, colour and printing temperatures of whatever spool you actually have, and the printer then recognises it like its own. WORKS WITH HOME ASSISTANT Every tag gets a unique spool ID, carried in the SKU. The hass-anycubic_cloud integration reads it from the Anycubic cloud, so Home Assistant can tell two identical reels apart and track how much filament is left on each — every reel keeps its own history. BUILT-IN FILAMENT CATALOGUE A shared catalogue of known filaments ships with the app and works offline. Pick a product and write it straight to a tag, or scan a genuine Anycubic spool to add it for everyone. SAFE BY DESIGN - Only the data pages are ever written; a tag cannot be locked or bricked - Every tag is backed up in full before a single byte is written - Every write is read back and verified byte for byte - Existing data is shown before anything is overwritten WHAT YOU NEED A blank NTAG213 NFC sticker (or larger) and an iPhone with NFC (iPhone 7 or newer). Anycubic's own tags are password-protected at the factory and cannot be rewritten; the app detects this and explains it. Your spool library, tag backups and settings stay on your phone.
