Annoying oversights

At present, you have to log in daily or maybe even more often. For something like the data in the app, this should really be set to basically never have to log in again if you don’t close the app. The app also doesn’t remember your login ID and for some reason Apple doesn’t prompt to remember login and password. It’s extremely annoying. They have a plunge timer, but why would I want to have to login just to use their timer? The app will have logged me out since I scheduled whatever appointment I’m plunging at. You can’t scroll to see your upcoming and past appointments — you can only see whatever fits on the screen and it’s static. Adding to iCal doesn’t work. It takes you to a page with code that you can’t get out of unless you restart the app. If I’m supposed to do something with this code, it should be made more clear and there should be a way to navigate out of it to get back to scheduling, etc. If you choose “Home” when first logging in you’ll also have to restart the app to navigate somewhere else in the app because you lose all access to the original app options. If you choose “Shop” you can only return to “Home” so that’s a miss on structure, too. I use the app pretty regularly and these glitches are sloppy and don’t reflect well on the brand. I do appreciate that they don’t collect data and the actual scheduling page is easy to schedule from. If they fix the issues (especially the frequent logging out) which should be relatively easy to do, I’ll change my rating.

Response from developer

Thank you for taking the time to leave such detailed feedback — we genuinely appreciate it. Regarding the frequent logins, the scheduling experience is powered by Acuity, which manages its own authentication and security. Depending on the device, operating system, and privacy settings, login sessions can behave differently when opened inside an app versus a system browser. Acuity has also been transitioning its login system over to Squarespace’s authentication, and during that rollout, some users may experience less persistent login sessions. While this behavior is largely governed by the scheduling system’s authentication and security rules, we are actively monitoring it and optimizing everything we can within Apple’s App Store requirements. We also want to clarify that you do not need to be logged in to use the cold plunge timer — it’s available without signing in. For navigation, the app uses modern system-based gestures that many apps now rely on. You can swipe from the far left edge of the screen toward the right to return to the previous page. This allows you to move back through sections without needing to restart the app. We really appreciate you calling out the login experience and session persistence. Feedback like this helps us continue refining the app and improving the overall experience wherever possible within platform and security limitations. Thanks again for using the app and for sharing your insights — we’re committed to continuing to improve.
