retrack: reaction tracker

retrack is a reaction tracker. you log what you felt, what set it off, and where it landed in your body. it takes about five seconds. over time, the patterns show you what actually gets a reaction out of you — and that noticing is what makes you less reactive. no accounts. no sign-up. nothing to configure. - - - FIVE SECONDS TO LOG ONE tap +, pick a face, and you're done. everything else is optional: what triggered it, where you felt it, or a note you can type. nothing is required, because a tracker you have to fight is a tracker you stop using. the home screen widget saves a feeling in one tap without opening the app. edit it later to add a trigger, body location, or note. IT LEARNS YOUR TRIGGERS name a trigger once and it becomes a one-tap chip. write a short note without one and retrack quietly suggests it. on iphones with apple intelligence, on-device intelligence names the trigger hiding in the note — "meeting ran long, skipped lunch" becomes "meetings". analysis stays on-device: the note is never sent to an ai service or to mostly lentils, though it may sync with your private journal through icloud. WHERE IT LANDS tap a body map — head, throat, chest, gut, arms, legs — and watch which part of you carries your reactions. GENTLE PATTERNS, NOT A DASHBOARD the patterns tab writes you a sentence or two, in plain language: "mostly irritation this week. it mostly lands in your chest." "mornings carry most of it — go easy on your early hours." no scores, no streaks, no guilt. A PAUSE, WHEN YOU NEED ONE the pause tab is the simplest meditation timer we could make: pick 1, 5, 10, or 20 minutes, tap begin. while you sit, retrack slowly draws you a landscape — wildflowers first, then the treeline, a stream, and at last the mountain itself. longer sits gather more: at 10 and 20 minutes, wildlife wanders in, weather passes through, a campfire gets lit. a soft bell opens and closes the sit, and the finished drawing stays with you until you're ready to move on. there's no gallery and no sharing — each one lives only in its moment. lock your phone mid-sit and the countdown follows you to the lock screen, the landscape beside it. pauses of at least one minute can count as mindful minutes in apple health, and new reactions saved in the app, siri, or shortcuts as state of mind entries — only if you turn those on. edits, home screen widget taps, and control taps never change health.
