Actually fun to play together
My husband and I both tried this and ended up taking way longer than expected. It’s one of those games where you fail, pass the phone, and immediately want another run.
It’s challenging but fun, and the retro style makes it feel different from most mobile games. The music is really good too, it adds to the whole experience.
Easy to pick up, hard to master, and surprisingly fun to play together.

Feels like a real arcade game again
This actually feels like stepping up to an old arcade cabinet. The difficulty is no joke, you’re not cruising through levels, you’re learning patterns, reacting fast, and restarting until you get it right. That “one more try” loop is strong here.
The new v2 update adds a lot more depth. The battle gear system changes how you approach runs instead of just relying on raw movement. Time Warp is clutch when things get chaotic, Photon Shield saves you from those small mistakes, and Ion Sweep clears the screen when you’re overwhelmed. It adds strategy without slowing the game down.
The soundtrack stands out. The 8-bit style music hits hard and actually carries the pacing of the gameplay. It feels closer to something like Mega Man than a typical mobile game.
Levels feel distinct, enemies keep pressure on you, and the boss fights force you to adapt instead of just spamming shots. It’s fast, punishing, and rewarding when you finally get through a run clean.
If you like classic arcade shooters or anything with real difficulty, this is worth playing.

Good old days
I liked the graphics and the game a lot. It runs so smoothly on my phone too! As a mid-retro reference this can become the new “snake” addiction 🤗
Excellent game
Reminded me the beauty of good old games
