Beautiful app lacking one little thing

This app is incredible and I love keeping it on in the background for visual/audio, but the one thing missing is a scanline option. This would be a full 5 if that wasn't a glaring oversight on an otherwise great app.

My favorite weather app. Reminds me of Sunday mornings as a kid when my dad would have the Weather Channel on in the background while we had breakfast.

A throwback

It does it job very well and it’s more reliable than the regular weather app plus pretty cool design! Only thing is, I wish we didn’t have to pay to change the backgrounds or the music but I understand why

Beats all the other apps

I get so irrationally happy when I get the notification every morning with today’s weather report. Between the format, the music, and all of that this app is 10/10. Great job to the devs that made it and designed it

Reminds me of my childhood

I love this app , the nostalgic feeling I get watching it reminds me of when I was a teenager and my parents would leave the weather channel on all day .

Love it

It’s the best weather app and it’s not even close. If you grew up and had to catch the weather channel for updates, this will take you straight back to it. The interface is well done. What a masterpiece

Adorable!!!

I am a huge fan of 90-00s graphic design and this will be a great beacon of calm next storm. My only thing—uh, I seem to be able to add other locations but then I can’t access them via swiping or anything. I might just be dumb, I didn’t use the app for all too long before writing this. Either way, fantastic.

Takes me back to the 90s

Someone mentioned this on Reddit, I never went to go find an app so fast in my life. It reminds me of being in high school when my mom would just leave The Weather Channel on in the background. The weather info is also really great too, the satellite feed and detail are fabulous. I love this app!

Going old-school

Very nice app! Chock full of great weather information, and of course that beautiful retro design we all remember and love from our days checking into the hotel on a roadtrip, turning on the TV, and heading right for TWC!

Noted 4/25/26: On the local radar screen, the precipitation covers up city names and state borders. On a day like today, where we’re “socked in”, the entire screen is nothing but green, yellow, and blue.

Really rooting for this app, but it needs work

Pro subscriber here. At night, it shows the sun icon instead of the moon. At first I thought the app was just taking a moment to get the right icons but it never changed. Second, and the biggest issue, the weather isn’t accurate (maybe it’s just my area). It shows the temperature for a city that is near me instead of my city’s weather. If that was fixed, this app would be 10/10.

Thank you for going Pro and for the detailed report. Both issues you flagged are addressed in the update I have in review right now. The night icon will switch to the moon at sunset, and Pro will turn on Hyper-Local Weather automatically so you get your exact location instead of the nearest reporting station. Thank you for the detailed report. The rotation freeze you described is a bug I've been actively fixing across recent updates. I've rebuilt the rendering system to prevent exactly this kind of lockup, and I have another update in review right now. You should not need to delete and reinstall. Please update to the latest version and if the issue persists, I'd genuinely appreciate hearing about it. I'm a solo developer and reports like yours help me zero in on these problems.

Accessible Radar

Love the app so far, only thing I think that everyone would appreciate is a button for the radar instead of waiting for it to appear.

That's a great idea! I've thought that as well. In the meantime, did you know you can swipe through the scene cards? Just swipe left or right to navigate to the radar scene when you want to see it. Thank you for the support!

Love it, but one thing bugs me

Pro subscriber here. Love this app, I’ve always been enthralled with weatherscan and weather Star. I only have one issue: at night, it shows the sun icon instead of the moon. App no longer works after upgrading to pro

Love the app, was working good until I upgraded to pro this past Sunday on version 1.15.12 and now it doesn’t load any info unless I delete and reinstall. But once I close it, it goes back to not loading. Even with successive updates. Keep hoping it’ll get fixed!
Update: update 1.15.18 fixed the issue!

Love it when it worked

I liked it so much I bought the annual subscription…but a recent update (1.5.14) has essentially killed the app. Nothing populates for the last few days. I get the music and a screen that says “data outdated, tap to refresh.” But nothing happens when I tap.

None of the settings come up. It doesn’t screen scroll up or down.

I’ve had to redownload the Apple weather app in order to get my forecast. I’ll check back periodically to see if it ever gets fixed.

When it works, I love it. Just not fully confident it will always work right.

I'm sorry you're dealing with this, especially after committing to the annual. The "data outdated, tap to refresh" not forcing a real refresh is a bug I just tracked down in the refresh logic, and a fix is coming in an upcoming update. 1.5.18 also shipped stability work that should get the cards populating again. Please update and I hope you see a real difference. Thank you for the annual support.

Pro messed up

When I bought pro for the widget, it suddenly stopped working. I deleted and redownloaded and it still doesn’t work. My app won’t let me click anything. I wish it worked I love the vibe and the music.

I'm really sorry about this, especially right after your Pro upgrade. The "can't tap anything" pattern is the cold launch freeze I've been tracking, and 1.5.18 is live now with the fix. Please update and the taps should start responding again. Solo developer here, working hard to make this right.

Thank you for the feedback! I'm always evaluating the free vs. paid balance. The free tier includes the full current conditions display, ticker, and alerts. I want it to be genuinely useful even without upgrading. That said, I hear you and I'll keep this in mind as I add new features. Appreciate you taking the time to leave a review.
