With its fascinating characters, challenging puzzles, and a growing array of places to explore, the creators have crafted a game that’s truly enjoyable.
I especially appreciate the note from the creators at the end; it gives the game a sense of depth beyond just entertainment.

A complete waste of time!
Graphics is good, but that’s about all what’s good about it. Long non-skippable credits, long conversations (somewhat skippable, but you have to keep on swiping down with 2 fingers to skip one spoken sentence, totally annoying). As for the game itself, you have to keep on going to your bag to look at purple book for “clues” which are basically instructions for ongoing tasks. Even if you figured something out you can’t do anything unless you run around and fail first then do EXACTLY what the purple book tells you to advance. And stupid STUPID ending!! Just when you think you are finally getting somewhere and maybe you will learn the secret, the story just ends, making you feel like it was complete waste of hours of playing. I would give it zero stars if I could. Good thing I played through Apple Arcade and didn’t pay 10 bucks for this. Or else I would be really really MAD!!!

Великий геймдизайнер Рон Гилберт выдал шикарный классический point-and-click квест и добавил в него казуальных механик для упрощения, так что вам не придётся часами искать незаметный предмет на экране и вы можете просто насладиться пусть и сумасбродным но интересным сюжетом.
Огромное спасибо за русский язык, а то я просто не смог бы насладиться игрой👍

Less Grog But That's OK
I've been a Monkey Island fan since receiving a free tee shirt for completing a short trial version of the game in . . . whenever that was. The SOMI itself has always held a place in my heart for its unique take on sword fighting, acidic grog and red herrings. Playing 'Return to Monkey Island' these . . . many . . . years later duplicated the joys of the original game while simultaneously challenging me with innovative puzzles to aid the characters on their journey. I look forward to seeing if Threepwood's newly-discovered yarn spinning abilities and insights into underworld humor will aid him in any future swashbuckling endeavors.
The only drawback? Now I want to wear my Secret of Monkey Island tee and have absolutely no idea what's become of it.

Not close to what it used to be
The story is rather boring the ending the same and the graphics are horrible

The artwork alone makes this a must play. The dialogue and attention to detail are amazing. I’ve not played a game so intently and had more fun in a long time!
Cannot Play Outside Audio
I have been trying to play this game for around 30 minutes. It looks fun. Good graphics, witty writing, etc. There’s just one problem: the game freezes if I dare play YouTube audio on the background. Put another way, the game cannot be played unless the player agrees to only listen to the app’s audio. This is intentional as other reviews have raised the same issue.
To the Developer: I don’t care that you own Chuck from Audio a favor. I can read the subtitles perfectly well. This choice, and yes it is a choice, is disrespectful to the player.

Einfach ein weiteres hervorragendes Spiel von Ron Gilbert und co.
J’adore !
Très bon jeu captivant avec un style que j’adore. Il manque juste les voix françaises, mais ça ne me gêne pas. En revanche, la synchro iCloud des sauvegardes manque terriblement pour reprendre le jeu de l’iPad vers l’iPhone et inversement …
Absolutely stunning and invokes that dope nostalgia vibe
My introduction to the series and now I wanna go play all the classics. People like Ron and the team are living legends to create such imaginative and creative worlds. Feels so much more closer to the heart and a personalised experience that not many games today can offer.

Audio issue
There’s no audio, i tried installing it twice and same thing.
Great until the last chapter
The final chapter simply can’t be played on a smartphone. The artwork is not clear and key clues barely visible. I had no choice but to read the hint book at that point and was frankly amazed when it told me what to look for. They simply weren’t visible and once I knew where they were, I had to take screen shots and magnify them. Major design error in my view. Oh… and developers… Game of Thrones had a more satisfying ending… seriously?!! 😡
