...

I hate literarily hate this app for one simple and veeeeeeeeery stupid thing like turning off all the music or nature sounds or audio books in background people listen when relaxing with a game like this... totally not recommending...

Great game

The game is great in many ways. I played against the computer and the computer plays really adaptively based on my style of play. It would be nice if this game supports Game Center. If it supports Game Center, I can view my achievements and play with people online.

Thank you
😊

Free vs Pro

The board outline on the free version is much much better than on the pro version.
I played the free version for several years and didn’t see any improvements or options when I purchased the pro version. Why did they shrink the height of the squares on the pro version where they don’t take up the whole board? I play it on the highest level all the time because anything less is too easy for me.
I’m probably an expert player but not consistent in the opening.
At the highest level, I win about half the time, but when I win, I usually crush it.
When it’s winning, it seems to play very strong move in the endgame, but when it’s losing, it makes a lot of mistakes

Good game

Worth paying a few dollars

Buen juego, pero no puedes jugar en linea

Buen juego, pero no puedes jugar en linea, compre el pro pensando que podia :(

Go the free version

Just paid for this version thinking it wouldn’t cheat like the free version does & have less ads.
Well, it does have less ads but cheats more in one player version by 1. Not allowing you to lock in a move where you ordinarily would be able to 2. Playing additional moves against you when not entitled to.
Don’t bother wasting your money- use the free version - know you will have a few ads and yes the program does take liberties but better that than paying for a game that causes stress with its cheating! 😤🤨

Pauses any music/podcasts playing

It keeps pausing music/podcasts playing when the app opens and when the app does anything despite music and sound fx within the app are turned off in settings.

Good app

If i could play with other people that would give it 5stars

Engine got stronger

The engine got stronger and plays a different style since the last update. I like to play the engine on the toughest strength first to win 10 games. I used to win most of the time. Now its 50/50. A good challenge.

Nice simple program a welcome distraction from the worries of the day!

Works fine

Great Fun

A simple game that enthralls for hours. Nicely done. My grandsons love to play.

Reversi aka Othello

I've loved this game for years. Knowing how to play doesn't make it easier. It's all about strategy. I often play it to relax. The concentration gets your mind off everything else.

crashes

im on iphone 6+ and right after i select 1 player game, it crashes...almost all the time

Can't play! Crashing constantly!

Bought the paid version to get rid of ads and now I can't even play...
Refund please

Best Reversi Game In The App Store!

There a lot of Reversi games out there but this is the best one by far!
This app has simple options and is very easy to use and operate!

It is what it is

For what it is its fantastic!

It does exactly what it is supposed to do!

Great little app. Everything works as expected and is well designed.

An old classic but still addictive

After you move beyond the early levels, it's like playing a pro. When you do win you get the feeling that it's just a matter of time before you lose. Tons of fun .

Yes, but...

Yes, the game does what it is supposed to do. What it does not do is teach you to play well. You need to play well before using this game. Even at the easiest opponent settings the game will beat a novice every time.
There are several changes to the program that would help users learn to play. Dumb down the opponent/algorithm. Allow the user to adjust the speed of the opponent's moves so they can be observed. Allow an instant replay, that is, show me that last move again. Why did the opponent make that move? Allow the user to propose a move and have the algorithm show the effect; let the user explore options. If the programmers are willing to be more sophisticated, allow the user to move, allow the algorithm to move and then--allow the user to step backward two moves (user + algorithm) and choose a different move than before. In effect, the user can see the outcome of his/her choice, say "Ouch! Not good" and then try something else.
Bottom line: if you already play well use this app; if you don't play well look elsewhere.

Excellent and entertaining

It's a good time burner. And a good challenge.
