What's New in review³

3.0

July 13, 2026

Say hello to review³ - v3.0! I am super excited to announce review³ for Mac! It has been built for the ground up with a keyboard first design. It is currently on sale for a limited time. Check it out today!! The app has now been renamed to "review³" because I could not use ":" on the Mac AppStore. It also is a nice nod to Things3 and Sorted³ and is easier to type and find. v3.0 changes - You can now see all your "Someday" items (items that don't have an associated date) - You can now see completed items for the last 8 days (Today, Yesterday, Previous 7 Days) - You can now swipe between lists, just like you can swipe between days when creating or editing an item - it is very satisfying! - You can quickly and easily move items to "Someday" and back to "Today" - You can even drag and drop Someday items between lists This means review³ pulls in all your reminders so you can see everything all at once: - You can search all items (timed, someday, completed) - You can quickly drill down to what you want to see - You can filter out what you want to filter out The app can now also renders lots of information without getting super laggy! And there is lots of little improvements under the hood - The date button gestures work way better with calendar events - Tapping an Add Item row now shows the creation card in line - And lots of other smaller fixes! This is a big update and I hope you enjoy. If you like this app please consider leaving a review or sending me an email. I love hearing from you guys! God bless! . . . Previously in v2.5: - Widgets - lock screen, home screen, and control center - Presets - easily switch between Home and Work context or set a widget to a specific preset - Search and tag support - swipe down from the top or press #F to pull up the new search view - Subtasks support - type "[] " to easily start a markdown checklist - you can even toggle the checkmark by tapping it! - Brand new swipable date button so you can swipe left and right to change days with a beautiful animation - New time row to easily set or change the time of a reminder - New modal view for drafts and new items, so you can start typing even before the app fully loads There is also lots of bug fixes and improvements under the hood! - Lots of little animation enhancements - Lots of improvements to markdown rendering including - swiping left and right on markdown lists to change the indentation - numbered lists - code blocks - checklists This will be the last version on iOS 18, for future updates, please update to iOS 26.

A brand new Mac app & Someday items

User reviews

review³ is the BEST Planner for Tasks and Events!

review³ harnesses the power of Apple Reminders and Apple Calendar to deliver a delightful experience that combines ease of use and functionality for fast scheduling.

Since its inception, review³ has greatly improved to bring more functionality and pleasure to the scheduling experience, making review³ one of the best places to create Reminders on the App Store.

When I first installed review³ (previously “re:view”, renamed as a nod to the Sorted³ and Things³ apps that inspired it), viewing Reminders and Events was the primary benefit of re:view, allowing for a nicer, simplified experience compared to the native-equivalent apps.

During the transition period from re:view to review³, some much welcome upgrades were added to make review³ more efficient and more powerful. Among the inclusion of numerous standout OS features, such as Live Activities, Dynamic Island, Interactive Widgets, and more, came two of my favorite features: Quick Time Selection, and Swipe to Select (useful for multiple tasks).

Quick Time Selection makes setting dates and times super fast. You can quickly tap on -1h, -15m, +15m, +1h buttons to easily input that adjustment to the time of a task, such as adjusting 7 PM to 6:45 PM with just one tap. Similarly, swiping left and right on the date portion of a task allows for quick switching of the current day, forwards or backwards, to simply adjust a task by a few days without needing to go through the Date and Time picker. The Date and Time picker is still there for tasks further along the line.

Swipe to Select lets you quickly bulk select a set of tasks and adjust them, such as changing the date, the Reminders list, or simply deleting them.

There’s much more to review³ that makes it worth the buy, but these are some of the things I am especially happy to use day in and day out for scheduling Reminders and Events using review³.

Last, but certainly not least, review³ respects your Privacy, collecting no personal data to work properly, which is especially important for apps that handle Tasks and Events data.

Ultimately, review³ is the BEST companion for scheduling Reminders and Events, and you seriously can’t go wrong with having review³ by your side!

It’s getting better and better

Looks nice, now with Home and Lock Widgets. The developer is open to suggestions for improvement and implements them quickly. Thx Dev.

Response from developer

Thanks for the review! In version 2.5 I have added a ton of widgets: Home Screen, Lock Screen and control center widgets. I hope you enjoy and God bless!

No Widget

Looks nice, But there is simply no widget function for the home and lock screen.

I like it!

A new way of looking at my calendar events. It’s simple yet accomplishes the goal of a minimalistic app. I need to work more with it to get my learning curve just right. I found a bug and emailed the developer. He was very quick to respond. I recommend the app highly.
