Key features include protecting an alien planet from meteorites by spinning it, evolving and spreading life for higher scores, fast-paced twitch gameplay, simple tap controls for rotation, beautiful HD graphics, and Game Center support for online leaderboards to compete with friends and other players.
Yes, (R)evolve is free to play. The game was released as a free title, and it also includes in-app purchases, which may offer additional benefits or content to enhance the gameplay experience.
The primary objective is to survive as long as possible by protecting the alien planet from a constant bombardment of meteorites. Players achieve this by spinning the planet to deflect the danger. A secondary objective is to evolve and spread life on the planet, as the amount of life sustained directly contributes to the player's score.
The control system is very simple. You control the planet's rotation by tapping the left side of the screen to spin it in one direction and tapping the right side of the screen to spin it in the opposite direction. This allows for quick reactions to incoming threats.
