You can’t add your own stuff
So you can only add travel spots from paid guides???

Good news. You're not limited to guide spots, you can add your own! Open your trip, go to the Plan tab, tap Edit, then "Add item" and choose "Create spot". From there you can add any place you like, no guide needed. We hear you that it's too tucked away right now, and we're working on making it easier to find.
