Update magic!
I just want to know if my Myki has money on it or not and this app does the job perfectly with no drama. Love it.
Was so disappointed when the ptv website changes killed it, but you guys have bought it back from the dead! Great job, thank you so much.

Lovely
So much easier than trying to quickly check my balance with the ptv app. Cute icon too
Perfect quick balance check
Doesn’t ask any info - just scan=balance. Offers places to top off your card, but doesn’t do it in the app so you don’t need to make an account.
Thank you for this easy safe option to check my card. I’m a tourist and trying to follow the rules so knowing the balance really helps me not over spend - I want to top off as needed not sink $50 into a card when I may be using the free tram in the CBD most of the time.

Response from developer
Hey, thanks for leaving this review. Reading it filled us with joy. We’re glad Rhyno is helping during your trip. Tip: if you catch a tram outside the cbd, touch your Myki on the reader as you step off - your balance will be up to date in the app quicker (15ish minutes instead of 12 hrs).
Nice app
Great to check my phone before jumping on a train! So simple. I love the new features for iOS 14. Best rhinoceros-themed Myki app available on iPhone today
Very nice
Very nice app to immediately topup. Is there anyway for it to show the touch-on status? There has been many occasions were I don’t remember if I have touched on or not, most of the time I have touched on however, because it’s a muscle memory thing can’t recollect if I have touched on or not.
great for checking myki balances
ptv app is terrible. this is great
Easy as.
Convenient, easy & fast to register the card
No BS
Unlike the PTV app, Rhino just does its job without asking for a login.
PTV refuses to even show me my card unless I log in (I don’t know the login details right now), but Rhino just works and does exactly what it says on the tin.

Best Myki App
Rhyno is incredibly useful for all Melbourne commuters. It’s basic, simple, gets the job done and does it well. No extra rubbish on the side.
It takes seconds to add a Myki, doesn’t take any data. It does what it says on the tin. Fantastic!

Privacy respecting + vastly better than the official “app”
3 things going for this app:
1. Unlike the official app, this one respects its users privacy and does not send our data to third parties (whose name starts with a G and who track us everywhere).
2. The app actually works, is dead easy to use, while all the while consuming a fraction of my device’s resources to run.
3. The app’s developed by local Melbourne folk that actually care about their craft and, even more importantly, about their users.

Review of Myki app
Good app for Myki especially viewing my Myki cards and mum and dads Myki cards are seniors

Great app. Works perfect!
Fantastic Little App
A model of what an app should do: fulfil a need with clear purposeful design. Puts Myki web ‘design’ to shame. Thanks very much.
This is a GREAT app
I have a few cards for family and friends visiting and this is a great app to check all the Myki balances in one spot. It can even show where the closest location to top up is and how to get there (if you want)!
Extra icons are cute and fun. Skeleton is my favourite :-) I highly recommend this app. It’s free, easy and I believe safe to use. No adds, only sign up once and that’s it.
Thank you people. I’m ready to enjoy travelling again. Soon, very soon xx

A simple, yet beautiful, travel companion
Great app, and now even better with these new features. And the new icons are ace!
Excellent app
I rarely write reviews but for such a well designed and thought out app, and for the price felt that it was warranted.
Things that are great:
- Notification centre widget
- Smooth UX design and attractive UI
- Ability to provide cards with “nick names

Simple, does what I want it to do.
Nice, user friendly, intuitive interface. Stores user credentials for ease of use, unlike some other apps which make you enter your log in credentials each time, super annoying. Perfect for someone like me who doesn’t top up online anyway. Great job!
