Sometimes you just need a reason to ride. For us, bike season means sunshine, roads, and a silly-serious mission: hop on and go somewhere on purpose. Ride&Bite started there. The McDonald’s thing isn’t a joke—it’s the vibe. A lot of riders already use a run to McDonald’s as the classic excuse to get out. My girlfriend and I both ride, and our favorite thing is visiting McDonald’s together—so we challenged ourselves to hit every McDonald’s in our city. I built this app so we could see what we’ve done, what’s left, and where (and when) to go next without spreadsheets, screenshots, or arguing about memory. Visit them all—your own real-world checklist. It’s part game, part map: nearby spots, what’s still waiting for you, and a simple way to keep track of the ones you’ve already visited. Not only golden arches. You can follow the same flow for other restaurant chains or roll your own with a custom search—whatever you’re collecting this season. You don’t need a motorcycle. The app works the same if you’re in a car, on a bicycle, or on foot. Two wheels are optional; the detour is the point. And honestly? The “why” is yours. Road-trip ritual, city-wide checklist, date-night loop, photography project—it doesn’t matter. If it gets you moving and gives you something to chase, the possibilities are pretty much endless.
