Top reviews

Clunky

The app is not consistent for routing, nor function. The app is not intuitive and requires more learning than it should.

Swiss Army Knife

Find rides, navigate routes, record your rides. This app does it all. Another cool feature: Follow your friends’ rides.

Inaccurate data

Map data for Ottawa is terribly inaccurate. No way in hell is this worth a monthly subscription.

O melhor

Para ciclistas de verdade

Poor design

Hard to change routes after they are made

Terrible. Don’t waste your money.

Meaningless beeps. Kept taking us the wrong way. Screen fades so you can’t see it and then goes to lock screen. Absolutely ruined a bike ride in Tuscany.

Taking me backwards

Best money I’ve ever spent

It must be a decade I’m paying annual subscription. Or 5 years? But it is such an amazing experience to ride with GPS.

It helps me find routes I’d never know. Smooth roads with bike lanes 🤤

One of my disappointment with any app is that the updates kill it. Not this one. Years ago you couldn’t plan a route on mobile. My workflow included garmin laptops and a usb cable.

Now you can. One can totally plan and ride the route without touching computer. Or even garmin. Although for longer distances I recommend garmin so your phone battery is preserved for emergencies

UI is getting better and better

Nagging app

Even if you disable notifications by email it does not register and they send you spam anyways. Also nagging you to evaluate the app at every opening. Here is the review you wanted.

Love it!

This App Sucks

Audio turns late cost up front even with free trial, doesn’t sync with garmin GPS s wonky. Not worth it

Too many software updates

I used to love RideWithGPS, until the last 12 months or so. Now that the marketing dudes and product managers keep encouraging the software developers to add myriads of new features, attempting to mirror features from competitors’ outdoor mapping and navigation tools, the essence of RideWithGPS is being lost. Please, no more upgrades! Please keep our favourite route planning and navigation tool simple and easy to use. That was why we loved it.

1st Time User

It was great to hear the navigation and a huge help with so many turns. Suggestions to give left hand turns a bit earlier

Great App

Easy to work- great interface and reliable control

My go to

Overall it’s very good but there have been a few glitches and lockups which require a restart. But considering the miles I have used it over, these are minimal, just annoying at the time.

My dog loves this App

Kia loves to run, so I had to figure out how to take him for a workout that I could maintain his youth and pedigree. My gravel bike-to harness him to my seat post so I can control him (+ a leash/collar). He’s doing well after a few weeks and won’t let me not take him out. Ride with GPS has been with me many years. I don’t even Remember Strava??? What’s that, Ride with GPS is awesome!

Très bonne application

Parfait

Not finalised

It looks really fancy but it’s a clumsy overly complicated application build upon openstreepmap. Map is not clickable on the non-mobile version. GPS coordinates are incorrect. I am very unsatisfied with this application.

Not user friendly

Even got the premium upgrade, but it’s garbage software

Great routes, terrible UI/UX

I really trust this app to give me routes on proper bike lanes. That said it’s really hard to use.

It takes a billion clicks just to get to navigating a route. It’s not even clear to me how to start a new route. I kept getting stuck in a loop with routes I’d taken previously.

Also, it asks you to save the ride everytime you end a ride. The form is clunky and just gets in the way. Not intuitive.

I like the alerts. But there’s no way I could justify paying for the app considering how difficult it was just to plan a route. It’s a bummer because the routes themselves are spot on.
