Bricked My Rev
Response from developer
Hey Krornge, I am really sorry to hear this. RideBoost only reads BLE data and sends temporary session commands (ride mode + lights). It never writes firmware/bootloader things, so it shouldn’t be able to damage a controller or “brick” a board/Scooter. If you’re open to it, could you share: iOS version, what steps you took right before the issue, and whether any other scooter apps were connected? I’ll investigate immediately. A few safe things to try: 1. Fully power off the scooter, wait 2–3 minutes, then power back on. 2. In iOS Settings → Bluetooth, “Forget” the scooter and re-pair. 3. Verify the display using the official app/manual reset steps for the Rev, then try our app again. Please also feel free to reach out to me on instagram or twitter: @A5omic. Or on Reddit on the boosted board server there are a ton of us there that can help. Again that should not be possible but I’m super sorry and if I can help in anyway please let me know. Thanks, Tom
