About

RideAhead is navigation built around the way you actually travel — not just the fastest line on a map. Whether you ride a motorcycle or drive a car, truck, SUV, or EV, RideAhead plans every trip around your vehicle's real range and keeps what matters one glance away. Know how far you can really go Tell RideAhead your vehicle and it tracks your fuel or battery range as you drive — learning your real-world MPG over time, so the number you see is the number you get. No more guessing whether you'll make the next stop. Fuel stops you can actually reach Heading somewhere past your range? RideAhead searches the whole route for gas or charging and only plans stops that are within your tank — and warns you if there's a stretch with none. No getting stranded between towns. Set up any vehicle - Pick your motorcycle from a large built-in list - Or find your car, truck, or SUV by year, make, and model - Full support for EVs and their charging stops Made for the ride - A big, clean speedometer you can size to your liking - Pinch to zoom out mid-drive to see the whole route, then tap to recenter - Day and night map styles that stay easy on the eyes - Scenic routing for the backroads, when the ride matters more than the clock - Avoid tolls, highways, or ferries with a tap Peace of mind - Navigation keeps running through phone calls and with the screen off - One-tap SOS sends your location to a contact you choose, so someone always knows where you are - Offline maps — download the area around you and keep navigating with no signal - Color-blind friendly mode for clear, readable status at a glance Your rides, remembered Every trip is logged automatically. See your lifetime miles, your average MPG, and everywhere you've been. No ads on the road Ads never appear while you're navigating. Your route is yours. RideAhead is free. Set up your vehicle, pick a destination, and ride ahead.

What's New in RidesAhead

1.02

September 13, 2026

Full release notes — RideAhead 1.0.2 Landscape navigation Navigation now works properly in landscape (horizontal) orientation. The turn card, speedometer, and fuel gauge are compact and tucked into the corners so the map and your route stay front and center. In landscape, the map automatically zooms out a little further so you can see more of the road ahead in the shorter view. Weather alerts You now get a heads-up pop-up when it's actively raining or snowing at your location — previously only official severe-weather warnings showed an alert. Warehouse-club gas New toggles under Settings → Nearby for Costco and Sam's Club, as separate switches. Turn on the club(s) you belong to and RideAhead will prefer those stations for your fuel stops (regular and premium) whenever one is within range — without sending you out of the way if there isn't. Reliability More reliable crash reporting, so any problems are easier to track down and fix in future updates. Additional fixes and polish.
