Better when it worked
I can login to the regular RiffTrax app, no problem. This one? It doesn’t work. Same credentials. Login Failed every time. It used to work a few months ago. It’s a bummer because I bought twenty or so “Just the Riffs”, and now they’re stuck behind a non-working app. 2026 sucks. All the shorts and videos I purchased work in the main app. For some reason there are two apps.

Worked perfectly
Downloaded a riff track and the app began audio playback automatically, zero problems. I did have to wait for dialogue in the film (it wasn’t able to sync until the characters began talking) but that wasn’t really a problem. Love this so far.
Wow. Other Reviewers are A-Holes!
Some of them are all “I absolutely LOVE this but it has one small flaw, so….3 stars. Maybe 2!” Absolutely hilarious. And so much fun! Connected from the iPad right to Alexa (like having smartasses in the living room)! And put a bunch on our wish list. Easy to use and sync! So much fun.

This needs to integrate Rifftrax Friends
That way everyone could subscribe and use this app or perhaps a separate dedicated Rifftrax Friends app that’s the only way I’ll resubscribe.
love rifftrax but…
the devs are non-responsive and several of the titles have sound or sync issues. Speaking on sync issues, the mechanism to match up your film with the riff seems pretty outdated. Archaic almost. Great riffs, super funny mostly but the tech issues are a bummer.
EDIT: Emails were sent to support prior to my review. No response was received and no, it’s not any simple user error thing you mentioned. The other riffs have been fine. The file for the riff in question is corrupted. Fan shouldn’t have to stay on you about these encoding issues for paid riffs. Check your email and follow along with ur iPhone if you like. You’ll see the issue and hopefully fix it. Can’t imagine it being harder than just formatting it again for this app.

I loved this app for so long but I can’t even log in anymore. Straight up broken and I’m paying them a monthly service for…….. I don’t know what.

It works on my machine
Bluetooth Speaker connected to my phone with the movie playing on the TV through YouTube.
Only “Just the Jokes”
My purchases of Riffs are all for movies where the video is available and it includes the jokes as part of it. All B movies and shorts. I don’t own a single “Just the Jokes” track and I never do the sync, so obviously the app is not useful to me. D’oh.
Rifftrax Friends
I have to start off by saying I love Rifftrax and have been a big fan and supporter for a long time. That being said, it’s incredibly disappointing that the app STILL didn’t have support for their subscription streaming service. If that was included it would take this from 1 to 5 stars. I get you can use the web browser but having everything on one easy to use app would be so much better. Keep up the great work riffing!

Does not auto sync
We tried for 15 minutes and it does not synch.
It’s just mp3 versions. How about a real app and AppleTV support?

None of my video purchases show up
I don't see the point if this app if only the audio commentaries are featured. Most of my purchases are video files.
Why can’t we stream?
I understand the function of this app, but why wasn’t it designed also to stream content like your Fire Tv app? I love you guys (been a fan since MST3K), but this app is terrible. I have a friends account and will have to just settle to watch your shows at home; though it would be nice to watch anytime, anywhere.

A solid app for fans
If you’re here you know who the Rifftrax boys are. The app is solidly built with great sound. Bluetooth works without a hitch, and even works while the microphone is using the automatic sync hung feature. Highly recommended.
Mixed Feelings
Love the commentaries, not excited about the app. Seems every movie hits a point where it’s not properly synched and we can’t fix it. The auto-fix isn’t working, and trying to fix by the old “pause/unpause” one and hope it’s fixed also just ends movie night in the teenagers bickering about the lack of match-up, and then it all falls apart. Great idea with the automatic sync, but it isn’t perfect yet.

Needs Bluetooth Usage Now
The idea for this genius, really made the process of syncing the audio to movies easy. Major flaw though is it doesn't hook up through Bluetooth and Apple has taken away the audio port... and nobody wants to listen to the riffs on a crappy phone speaker. Look, if you love laughing definitely buy this track, but you'll have to listen from a speaker sitting right by you. I did find a work around by using an iPad (which still had a 3.5mm jack) and connected a speaker to it, playing the app from it. Please update this so it works with any blue tooth or even with my Bluetooth ear buds (so I can listen to it while watching retro movies in the theater, like I used to do).

Friends membership unsupported
Why doesn’t this app support Friends membership? Videos that are eligible to be watched for free on the website if you are a friends member aren’t available for free on the app. Big bummer for me
App stops when phone goes to sleep
The track does not keep my phone from going to sleep. When the phone sleeps the commentary stops.
