About
The app is in Arabic only. The verses and nearly all of the hadith are printed with their vowel marks.
Rifq is a few lines a day about character and how you carry yourself: patience under hardship, gentleness toward people, pardon, guarding the tongue, humility, gratitude, truthfulness, fairness, and doing your work well. A verse, an authenticated hadith, or a classical Arabic proverb. No list to finish, no streak to break, no counter blaming you for the day you missed.
■ You choose what you read about
Pick the subjects that concern you, out of twelve; what arrives in them is a verse, a hadith or a proverb of the Arabs. Your run is your own: the lines you have not read come first, and nothing carries a date.
■ Three lines a day
They arrive each morning on a page that holds nothing else, set in Arabic type, and one drag of a finger turns them. The line and where it comes from, with no commentary under it. Press and hold to copy it with its source, or to send it.
■ On your screen, not in an app you open
A home screen widget and a lock screen widget, and a daily reminder at an hour you choose, carrying the whole line rather than a note asking you to come back. You can also ask Siri for the day's line.
■ Send it to someone
A card, or a full-screen Status for Status and Stories, standing on a place you pick: cloud, rainbow, dunes, mountains, sea, waterfall. It goes as it is.
■ Every line with its source
Every hadith is printed with its grading, sahih or hasan. Every verse and hadith is checked character for character against the source it was taken from before it ships, and proverbs are ascribed to the sayings of the Arabs.
■ No account, no server
No sign-in, no connection needed to read, and what you read and what you keep never leave your device.
■ Free, and the subscription opens two things
The day's three lines, the widgets, the reminder, the card and the Status are free, with no account. The subscription opens two gestures: keeping a line and coming back to it, with a private note on what you keep and a widget of your saved lines, and reading back through your own run. Monthly or yearly with a free trial from Apple, or a single purchase that never renews. The renewal, price and cancellation terms are written out in full under the buy button inside the app.

Ask Siri for the day's line, or to open your saved lines. Your card can now be a Status too: full screen, for Status and Stories. Press and hold any line to copy it with its source, send it, or keep it. A larger library. With the subscription: a private note on what you keep, a widget of your saved lines, keeping from the medium widget, and your saved lines in Spotlight search.
