I would suggest the following:
Allow the user to manually enter and “lock” one of the leg lengths, and have the calculator solve the remaining numbers. When we calculate bridles in the field, we need to solve for the apex height and the length that uses the STAC chain, usually the long leg in most scenarios. So we enter the two beam heights, the span between beams, the span from the short leg point with no adjustable STAC chain and then finally solve for the apex height and the adjustable leg. I built a spreadsheet calculator to do this since there no longer exists an app to help.

You can perform these calculations using my calculator. The minimum apex height is determined by the installation trim height, plus the motor and sling, while the maximum is defined by the bridle opening angle. The minimum apex height comes from the project documentation, and you can find the maximum using my calculator. In the second section of the bridle calculator, if needed, you can calculate the apex height from the bridle leg lengths. Regards

Hi. The application accepts all units of measurement, both metric and imperial (cm, m, in, ft). Whether you input values in feet or meters, the results will be accurate and consistent with the unit you used. Use the cm/in switch if you want to convert between centimeters and inches, and the kg/lb switch to convert between kilograms and pounds, and vice versa. Regards
