Use the app from the museum itself

The first thing this does is ask for your a facebook/google login for no justifiable reason. I deleted it straight away and downloaded the app made by the museum, which has no such nonsense.

Don’t understand what this is for

Tiny maps that are difficult to read, an AR section (augmented reality) that is just a way to look at the pictures through your phone isn’t of just with your eyes, why???? I thought this might provide an insight into what you were looking at but no, it does nothing. Various section you can read in tiny tiny grey print which is especially illegible in the dim light of the museum and much too long to read whilst touring the museum.

Not the real museum app. And not free.

If you are here, you are probably looking for the Rijksmuseum’s app. That has the name simply “Rijksmuseum”, with logo showing “Rijks” in white letters on a black background. It provides guidance, maps, online pictures, etc.

THIS app is completely different. It offers nothing but advertisements to pay $2.99 to get their version of Rijksmuseum information along with “special deals“. If that’s what you want, fine - I don’t know how good it is. If instead, like me, you are looking for the real guide to the Rijksmuseum, prepared by the Rijksmuseum, then look for the app with the simple white-on-black “Rijks” logo.

Very limited content available for free. You don’t need pay $3.99 to upgrade for information. Don’t waste your time to download this.

Copy and paste from Wiki. As far as I can see.

The text is grey - why? Very difficult to read. Easier to look everything up on Wikipedia.

Completely useless

Nothing in the app made it worth the 30 seconds it took to download.

Keep paying!

The free app does nothing useful. £2.99 is supposed to buy the full app but it is still downloading and app does not yet do everything I guess it is supposed to do. The one thing that does work is it keeps offering yet more paid upgrades.

The reason behind this is for travelers to be able to enjoy everything in an offline mode without paying for roaming charges while they travel. Even being able to use geolocalization capabilities such as GPS or Augmented Reality without being connected to your cell phone provider. Waste of money

No guide to use, AR didn’t work. TOTAL ripoff using a great museum to make easy $$.

Should give zero stars. Offers nothing of use unless you pay $$$ to upgrade. Do not bother to download.

Spam, windows popping up everywhere

Immediately requires you to log in to Apple and pay $3, does nothing but ask to track your location and download things if you don't.

Useless. Contains absolutely nothing.

Free to download but It contains absolutely nothing unless you pay. All of the options open a browser opening ads for tours and other scammy offers. Stay away.

Rijks museum guide

This app is useless - absolute piece of junk and cannot be used to plan your visit. Further Etips tries to upsell you to buy more of their junk. Etips sells garbage. Vuseum creates passable guides but they do not have one for the Rijks

Useless!

The free component of this so called " guide " amounts to nothing more than a few sentences of history a few photos of the exterior of the building.

The actual guide I cannot comment on because it costs $4. I don't pay app developers who use false advertising.
