Paid for features in the original, now locked behind a subscription
I’ve paid for the “legacy” version of Rippple but this new one wants me to subscribe to trakt to unlock features I’ve previously purchased, such as showing shows I’ve watchlisted.
Bon remplaçant à TV Time
J’ai pu transférer mes données TV Time vers Trakt. Cette app (client Trakt) est performante, bien organisée et jolie.
Great TV Time replacement
I was looking for an app to replace the fantastic TV Time. Rippple checks almost all of the boxes. I’m impressed with all of the features and customization, which made it a no brainer. No other app even comes close. Very pleased with Rippple!
Rippple Mark I
What will happen with my annual subscription on “Mark I”?
Absolute Perfection In My Eyes
I have been using Trakt for maybe 6 months now & although I believe that it is a very useful service (I primarily use it w/ Stremio integration to auto-track my watch progress + history), I have always absolutely hated their official mobile app. I found it to be annoying to navigate, & harder than it needs to be when trying to access certain things (like my content ratings, for example). This app basically rectifies almost every single gripe I had with the Trakt app. Like the title says, I strongly
believe that every single one of Trakt’s users should be downloading this client & managing their account through here instead.
Now there ARE still a couple of things that I feel are missing from this app, they aren’t critical enough to ruin things for me, but I feel like maybe they’d be easy to implement & it would end up making this a 100% perfect experience instead of just 98%..
#1 — Ratings Sort
Referring to the menu option when you navigate to Profile > Ratings. I just REALLY wish that inside of that menu, you had the ability to sort everything you’ve rated by highest ⭢ lowest. There is an option to filter everything down by individual star ratings, but no true way to view everything in one big list that’s also grouped by # of stars.
#2 — Tab Bar Customization
I feel like this could possibly be a simple one to implement as well? I literally just wish that I had the ability to add that “Ratings” menu which I’ve just mentioned above, down into my main tab bar. That screen is something I tend to access quite frequently, so being able to save me a click each time I want to pull it up & view my ratings would be a super nice feature to have for me personally.
I was really hesitant to test this app out with the star ratings it has, but honestly it seems to me that all of them are just from people who are angry with Trakt because I believe that they bought this app outright from the original developers. I can understand the frustration but also please don’t let those discourage you from giving Rippple a shot; you’ll more than likely absolutely love it just as I have discovered.
