Risk Board Game Calculator

A user interface designed for simplicity and speed of use. The calculation results are displayed in real time, so you do not need to press an = button. Simply dial in the attacking and defending army count, and the number of dice in play, and the calculator will immediately show you the probabilistic outcome of a battle for both the attacking and defending sides. Although Risk is a game of skill, the dice introduce an element of chance; the calculator displays the outcome of 100,000 simulations of the battle based on the currently dialled-in army count and dice in play. Why 100,000 simulations? It was found during development that this was large enough to give 1 decimal place of consistency, and 0.1% was the preferred level of accuracy when battles hung in the balance. As an attacker, you can quickly dial in your target arm count to overcome your opponent's border, with your preferred margin of success. As a defender, you can easily calculate to what degree you need to fortify a border to fend off a potential attack without wasting valuable troops with overdeployment; and during a battle, you can see the outcome of defending with one or two dice depending on your attack’s dice choice.
